Greetings.

I have been tracklaying tonight.

The turnouts are temporarily fixed in place with tape, while the track is trimmed to length.

The turnouts were subsequently removed and sprayed with undercoat and then the sleepers given a coat of sleeper grime mixed with matt black. The turnouts are awaiting reattachment.

The Track was attached with double sided tape, on which fine ballast was pressed down between the sleepers to leave a minimalist ballast trackbed ( I overdid the other board!)

Hi Chris.

Good work there!! From what I can see it looks really good, plus I can also see a wagon which must mean you have been testing the track too which is a very wise thing to do!

Nice to see some work going on. Some idiot bought a guitar and modeling has now stalled here.

Come on Mark - I manage to balance both!!

Though I'll confess that when I first had my telecaster I did play it for an hour or two each night. B)

What amp are you playing through?

Nothing special yet but looking at getting a Fender Mustang 2

I suppose it depends on whether you are going to get up on stage at some point.

I have kept a 30w Peavey valve combo for that, but I've only used it once in the last 3 years when I depped for my bro in law with his jazz/funk band!

Mosty I tootle through a Fender Frontman 25w reverb, which was pretty cheap and sounds so great clean and distorted, that I rarely plug in the Boss ME50 anymore.

Missy, I have been testing each join carefully after the last shananigans! Once bitten..

Don't get me wrong - some things have still gone awry, but only little things in a fixeable way.
