Hi all,

here are the weathered pictures but still awaiting the cab canopy (having various thoughts as to how to capture it) and the coalman has still to appear on the scene.

Hopefully, will get the canopy issue sorted before to long and that the coal arrives before the fire is due to be laid.

Mike

You've made a cracking job of the loco and the weathering Mike (though I do think the driver's trousers could do with being a little less err, bright!). smile.gif

It doesn't seem that long ago since you started it. Can you remember how long it took to build please?

Hi Dave and Dan,

thanks for the comments, it's the fireman's trousers that you can see, I'll have to dust him down a bit more (when he has sorted the coal out, when it arrives).

I started construction on the Thursday before Guildex - 3rd September, but have not worked on it every day.

Thanks Mike icon_thumbsup2.gif Considering you've not worked on it every day, that's a pretty good rate of progress and, I would suggest, gives a good indication as to the quality of the kit. smile.gif

So, as it's nearly there, what's scheduled to land on the workbench next? biggrin.gif

MOK Merchant Navy? Or MOK King Arthur?

Hi Dan & Horsetan,

i have a David Andrews rebuilt West Country - 34014 Budleigh Salterton, which I started two years ago and have picked up and put down for no other reason than other things coming along. I posted a photo on the old website of the current state of play and repeat it here (the start of another thread) so that it will shame me into finishing it.

Then it'sa JLTRT Whistler D232 Empress of Canada and a coouple of Agenoria Hawthorne Leslies - ex Plymouth, Devonport & South Western Railway.

regards

Mike

The driver's hairstyle leaves a little to be desired: look at the back of your own, can YOU see 3" of neck?

Hi Alcazar,

can I take then that the loco meets with your approval - even if the 1950's hairstyle does not?

Cracking job:icon_thumbsup2: I do think that a complicated "good kit' goes together quicker than a bad 'simple kit'. the hairstyle looks fine to me, proper haircut, but I do agree with Dan, the trousers could do with a little weathering

I shall be hunting out the MOK stand at Reading......

Hi 28ten,

just wait till the coal arrives and he gets up on the tenderlaugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

MOK were 'represented' at Telford I have the details in the workshop, I'll look them up and let you know who they were - it might be a similar arrangement at Reading.

regards

Mike
