Yer know what it is yet?

Well not as much progress as I had hoped for this evening as although I went to 4D Modelshop and got the necessary bits including solder paint for the wagon build I then couldn't find the bag of bits I brought from the AGM! So yet another box hunt tomorrow. So in order not to let the momentum fizzly out I set about making a test track out of foamcore. Although it is only around 2.5feet long I will adequately meet my goals of getting something running and testing out various ideas an techniques. The track plan is simple with only 3 points and a moving fiddle yard to act as a traverser so once I have some paper for printer I will print my Templot plan and stick it straight to the baseboard and build in-situ. Seems as though I have/am spending large amounts of time getting everything in place that I thought I already had!

More progress tomorrow.

Got any doodles to share of your track plan Tom?

Both my 2mmFS layouts only have two turnouts....curious to see where the third one is :O

Is that foamboard for the base? If so, make sure you brace it adequately before you start your track laying...once it goes banana shaped its not as easy to correct...

Not impressed by that modelling table - it's far too tidy :)

Even allowing for the various bits trying to hide behind the foamboard, there's lots of unoccupied space on the table, whereas my modelling equipment appears to obey Parkinson's Law - rapidly spreads to occupy every available square inch...

No wonder you can't find anything - it's not there (must be still hiding in boxes from the last move).

@Pete, yes this is Foamboard and will definitely brace properly as the boards once out of there packaging rapidly sprung into there natural shape which was banana like!! Once I get more paper for printer will finish of the plan.. nothing too exciting though.. ;)

@David, well the kitchen table has to be used for well kitchen duties like eating so it needs clearing off regularly. Yes I have to admit I like to work in a semblance of order and tidiness :D Yes but there must be a law that governs no matter which box you look in its not in that one no matter how many times you look..

Found the bits, but not the reamer files, the glue doesn't work and I have run out of ink!!! Gaarrr...

No more progress till tomorrow.

After some wailing and gnashing of teeth I have binned this and am starting afresh after reading some interesting articles on Foamboard construction on the t'interweb that might help be build a board that doesn't resemble a banana! Also still farting around with trackplan.
