Whats all this about? Believe me I have never been to a horserace in my life (sheltered upbringing & all that!). HOWEVER, with the proposed chages to 'Upton Dene' scalewise I now have to justify the presence of rakes of 'main line' coaches appearing at Ambridge ('Raceday Specials' etc)! It will also be a good excuse to get on with the 'D&S' horseboxes my wife bought me for Xmas... Might even consider upgrading the route to a 'Blue' route to allow the odd 'Manor' or 'Hall' to run!

So, is this 2mm or 4mm..........................or, were you flying a kite in your previous post ?

It.s nice to see that D&S are still in business;I had a GE tram kit from him a couple of years ago............you should see some of the prices such things fetch on Ebay !

My own efforts are still progressing slowly, but, I've cheated with a Bachman station canopy !

see you at EXPOEM.............I hope.

I've been planning a horsebox special for Farthing for some time. Now it has a place to go to :-)

(has anyone ever done that - ie linked fictional line histories across multiple layouts so that the might-have-been stories integrate?)

Hi Gerry -

Dont have time for kite-flying - too busy modelling G>! Ambridge' wil be in 'EM' - eventually 'Upton Dene' (the junction station on a secondary main line) will be in 2mm - but that's a long way down the track so to speak. 'D&S' are being marketted (in limited runs) by 'Brassmasters'. I treated myself to a couple of 'Siphon C's & Zoe slipped me a couple of horseboxes on the same order as Xmas pressies. She's really good - I've still not made the 'High Level' Peckett she bought me as a birfday pressie a couple of years ago! Nice to know you're showu=ing progress, and I havn't forgotten the windows. I'll PM you. Definitely on for Expo - then off to 'The Mouse' in Florida the day after.

Mikkel -

You can play trains with me any time you like (when I've got something to play with that is!). I certainly recall a 7mm garden layout several years ago where trains would depart on one persons tracks and arrive on the garden layout. I've also got a feeling that David Jenkinson and Arthur Whitehead had the same arrangement with their 'Cumbrian' lines. Could be wrong tho'.

That's nice to know about Brassmasters, But, I phoned Dan Pinnock and dealt directly with him............he is, I think, still producing some of his range. ( presumably those that he hasn;t sold on )
