I think Henry as some doubts about the plan!

Sorry to hear about Rosie, it's heartbreaking when they go, I still miss my first dog Jubilee, I had 17 years of her company but it's never enough. Henry is only 2, so hopefully he will be around for a good while yet.

Rosie was nearly 14, unfortunately she had the big 'c'. We lost her just over a year ago.

 

Looking forward to seeing your layout develop; wish I had room for Moretonhampstead in 7mm, will have to settle for 4mm.

To true! Ive been consigned to the garage and told in no uncertain terms to " tidy up and put the furniture back where it belongs when you've finished"

You're not kidding! My mother in law thought I was designing a full size boat when she saw the wall paper template. lol

If you could make that A5 into a B5, your locos will thank you.

It would be more prototypical too since the GW didn't have anything smaller than a B sized switch.

Thanks for your advice guys, the A5 has now been redrawn as a curved B6 which flows much better. I'm sure as you say my locos will appreciate the difference. Four points are now built, one B8 and the double slip to go! Anyone got any bright ideas on ways to make the switch blades more flexible for the double slip? On the points, I've just cut through the rail head and put cosmetic plastic fishplates either side of the rail and they are sufficiently long to be "bendy." However on the slip, I'm concerned that they may be too stiff unless I cut right through the rail and have a prototypical joint.

 

Any advice, much appreciated!
