07 December 2019 08 December 2019THE Christmas Model Railway Show - Manchester 2019!
The only model railway exhibition to be held in the centre of a major UK city. Twenty layouts, most featured in the modelling press, a wide selection of traders, modelling demonstrations and other attractions, all in a comfortable venue with excellent catering and only 3 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly station.
Doors open at 10am each day with tickets on the door at £10 per adult with accompanied children FREE, but advanced ticket holders pay less and get in earlier!

0Wimborne Railway Society is holding it’s open day with the opportunity to see what the club does and some of our layouts on display as a mini show.
Friendly local club within 5 min walk from town centre. Please note no parking at the church but two large car parks close by, satnav locations on the poster. Follow the alley down the right side of the church to the hall behind.

A chance to run your stock or locos on Hassell Harbour bridge or just a social down the club. You shall also have the chance to see the construction and development of the new station boards.
The open days shall run on the Sunday from 1pm until 4pm.

0The Erith Model Railway Society’s annual January show, one of South East England’s largest shows (and Kent’s largest by stand numbers), will return to The Longfield Academy for our 5th show there. The show will encompass at least 30 layouts, extensive trade and society support, demonstrators (including the club’s Foxley Service Centre - Loco Diagnostics & Cleaning Service), static exhibits and charity raffle, making over 100 stands in total.
Saturday 25th January 2020: 10:00am to 5:00pm.
Sunday 26th January 2020: 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Accompanied Children (5-16): £1.00.
Entry price includes free exhibition guide.

NB: Charity Raffle – In aid of the Association of Bexley Charities ‘78.
The venue can be reached by Longfield railway station (5-10 minute walk away), Arriva bus services 423 (from Dartford and Bluewater), 433 (from Bluewater, Sunday only) and 489 (from Gravesend), and Go-Coach bus services 474 and 475 (both from Bluewater). The buses stop at Longfield St. Marys Way, Longfield Brickfields Farm and/or Longfield Railway Station. All stops are 5-10 minute walk from the venue. Some services may stop at Longfield Academy itself. Ask the driver when you board if in doubt. There are no Sunday services for the 423, 474 and 475 routes.
There is a sizeable free on-site car park, full disabled access (including toilets), a large refreshment area (300+ seats) and an extensive range of hot and cold food and drinks at reasonable prices. There is some off-site parking available at a day nursery in Brickfield Farm just up the road from the venue (5 minute walk away), should we run out (and we usually do) of on-site parking.
