In our popular venue of Fort Pitt Grammar School, Chatham, Kent our 21st Exhibition will offer a greater selection of layouts, covering a variety of scales and gauges with high quality trade support for both the average & specialist modeller. Admission rates for adults remain unchanged at £5 for the eleventh year, while rates for children and families remain at very low rates - £2 and £12, respectively!

This year's layouts, from N Gauge to 1/32 scale, include: Alt Furka; Cato Pass; Downlands; Gravesend West (exhibition debut); Habbaniya, Iraq 1941; King West; Maxwell; Medway Quay; Midhurst; Oaklands; Paddington; Scallywag Corner; Westfield and a live steam layout, plus other exhibits. There is also the usual selection of trade stands, societies and demonstrators - and we're pleased to feature internet modellers Clarisse Leviton and Reese Comer.

Wheelchair access, free on-site parking and a friendly atmosphere await the visitor, plus modelling demonstrations. A range of hot & cold food/refreshments is available.

Fort Pitt Grammar School is about 5-10 minutes walk from Chatham Railway Station & close to Rochester/Chatham Town Centres, and the A2/M2 - follow the signs for the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) Rochester, we are next door. In fact, why don't you leave the car at home this year and use our free bus service linking Strood, Rochester and Chatham stations with Fort Pitt Grammar School (on both days - Saturday 7 September and Sunday 8 September).

The free bus service will start from Fort Pitt Grammar School around 10.00, operating a shuttle to/from the school serving Chatham, Rochester and Strood stations as well as the Royal Engineers Museum, Gillingham to serve the Medway Modelling Club Show and connect with the Medway Open Top Bus Tour. Further details and timetables will be available later on through our Facebook page.

  • Recent Event Reviews

    • Warrington Model Railway Exhibition
      By 70000 Britannia,
Thoroughly enjoyable weekend.  Well presented and organised. Good, freindly atmosphere and interesting range of layouts.  Well worth a visit next year.
    • Mid Wales Model Railway Show, Welshpool
      By steamfinale,
Excellent show with some superb models and a huge improvement on previous years. A shame there weren't a few more traders!
    • ***Bury St Edmunds MRC 70th anniversary exhibtion***
      By colin penfold,
This was an excellent show. Congratulations to Bury St Edmunds MRC for putting together such an array of quality layouts including two stars of MRJ - Orford and Templefield. I also really enjoyed Coldfair Green, Coronado Shortline and Cobbolds Wharf.  Brilliant to get so much quality in a smaller, local show. Well done to all
    • Mendip 2019
      By John P.,
A very mixed show with several scales and prototypes shown. Unfortunately Hook Basin had to cancel on Friday morning.
Still a good show. Excellent refreshments, easy parking what more could you want? Unless you were expecting any OO stuff,
      there wasn't any!
I enjoyed being  a part of this show exhibiting Burnham.

    • ALSRM Annual Show
      By Donw,
I have rated this based on last year so anyone knows it should be worth going to. I will update it tomorrow after the event although that will be too late to help anyone. The event always has some excellent layouts and there is a good range of trade stands for 7mm and larger. If you are looking for boxshifters of 00 stuff forget it. but there are some good traders there.
      Don
