Events happening today
21 November 2020 22 November 2020The Committee has met, cogitated, and discussed our forthcoming show in November. Whilst we could manage, just, to put the show on, with a large proportion of our visitors being of a certain age and worried about visiting, we could suffer a large drop in numbers attending. Without numbers, the show would in all probability present us with a loss. I know all of you will be disappointed and some of you not surprised at its cancellation.
It was with a heavy heart that we decided that St Patcham 2020 will not take place. The decision has been taken now so that visiting layouts and traders can be advised well in advance, and we do not have to payout insurance and hall fees.
Next year's show, being in the year of the Club's 50th anniversary, will be an excellent opportunity to show ourselves to the outside world and rejoice the great hobby of railway modelling.
With no show, we are considering the idea of holding a mini show on Club premises on the Sunday of that weekend 22nd hopefully using the station waiting room at London Road, showing our two exhibition layouts. Of course, we will be abiding by whatever anti-covid guidelines are current at the time, and with Southern's agreement! We are aiming to still having our annual sales day this year on Saturday 22nd August, again working within current anti-covid guidelines.
Our 2020 Exhibition will be held on Sat 21st and Sun 22nd November our 42nd annual show.
Open 1000 to 1700 on Saturday and 1000 to 1600 Sunday

02 October 2021 Until 03 October 2021
0Sadly we have had to cancel the 2021 Fareham RailEx - but not for the obvious reasons...
There is building work going on at Fareham Leisure Centre to provide a new entrance into the centre which effectively writes off sensible access to the lower level where the bulk of the exhibition takes place.
We are expecting to be back in 2022 subject to the venue operators being willing to have us back in their glitzy new building and announcements will be made in the usual places once the dust settles. In the meantime we may organise a series of "pop-up" events around Fareham town centre and the outlying shopping areas and community halls. Details will be posted here and on UKMODELSHOPS as we arrange them.

0Our next Open Work Day will be held at the Milland Memorial Village Hall on Sunday 10th October - between 10:00 and 16:00.
These events are held to provide members the chance to carry out more involved work on the layouts, that our Friday evenings do not allow us to do in the time available. Visitors are free to pay us a visit to see what projects are underway. Tea and coffee is always available!
Layouts being worked on will be 'Inspired by Friedrichstrasse' and 'Lavender Hill'.
