After some discussion the Wilmington Model Railway Exhibition committee have decided that we will have to cancel this year's (2020) exhibition. With the guidelines as they are on social distancing and the controls we would have to put in place, we feel that we cannot run a safe exhibition for exhibitors, traders, volunteers and the public. And we also appreciate clubs have not been able to meet to discuss who may attend the exhibition and to do any layout maintenance.

We are aiming to run the 2021 exhibition on the 9th October 2021, and if you are interested in attending with your layout or trade stand, please let us know and we will carry over your details to next year's exhibition.

After much consideration, we have decided that it is in the best interest of the club & it's members, our exhibitors, traders & the general public to cancel this year's Spalding Model Railway Exhibition which was to be held across the weekend of October 31st & November 1st, 2020.
A large number of the people involved in our hobby are likely to have been shielding to protect their most important health & any kind of distancing required would make exhibition's very different to what we have become accustomed to & would present a fresh set of challenges.
We would have had to shortly commit a large amount of money towards the holding of the exhibition for hotel rooms & other expenses which we, unfortunately, could not guarantee to recoup under the present circumstances.
We will however bring you the 2020 Exhibition virtually where we will have a selection of layouts, demonstrations & a showcase of our trader's product ranges on our website across the weekend of October 30th - November 1st, 2020.
Please stay safe & well. We look forward to welcoming you in person to our 2021 exhibition which is to be held on November 6th and 7th 2021 at Springfields Events Centre.

Back by popular demand, the third instalment of our widely-acclaimed virtual exhibition is to take place this spring.

Following the success of our second #BigWORshow event in November, which drew more visitors to our website than at any model railway show in the UK – and with such fantastic feedback, we’re excited to announce that our next show will take place across the weekend of March 13-14, 2021.

Like before, the third #BigWORshow will feature a compelling selection of fantastic layouts created by talented modellers. The exhibits will feature N, OO, EM, P4, O, and G scales, with something for all tastes!
Popular features that made the previous show a success will remain, including our live feed, which will be populated with new content at least every 10 minutes!

And that’s not all. There’ll be competitions galore across the two days, practical demonstrations from a variety of talented modellers, plus interviews with some of the biggest names in the hobby.

We’re really excited to welcome everyone to our official opening on Saturday, March 13 at 09:30 GMT for two days of fantastic model railway entertainment and exciting challenges – don't forget to tell your friends. Don't miss it – we'll see you there, virtually, of course!
