Sadly for me I have to look at thinning the collection and this one does not fit in the timeframe for Summat Colliery.

A BR Standard 9F Crosti as rebuilt after 1961/62 with the Crosti boiler removed and returned to conventional steaming.

Built for an article in April 2015's BRM, it's based on a Bachmann 9F chassis, so has all the good features of that model - brakes, great smooth runner etc. The Golden arrow resin body has been modified to fit the chassis, detailed up and finished to my usual high standard. It's fitted with spung buffers and Narrow Planet plates.

Unweathered and there is no cab gazing as I normally do this with Glue 'n' Glaze after it's all dirty.

Remember you can't get one of these ready to run, why Hornby did not do this version I don't know as it fits better into the more common 1960 to end of steam era than the pre-1960's full Crosti that they decided to produce.

Cost £150 in parts alone, so first £200 gets it.
