It's about load spreading, critical content remains on dedicated servers.

The majority do have common sense Phil but sadly I see some where the price is everything no matter what the risk factor may be. This week I see people trying to place orders with a bogus business relying on their credit card protection as a fallback - in whose interest is that? Also I see models coming out the back door of a China factory sold on ebay via a Taiwanese intermediary. Where's the warranty? I'd also say the risk of a duffer turning up would be higher than dealing with an accredited stockist. None of that seems to matter, it's all about the price but with an expectation that someone else will pick up the pieces. Meanwhile all it does is reward theft and fraud and increase the chance of someone else getting caught out at some point in the future. As most of us know there's always someone greedy or stupid enough out there. They walk amongst us.

That's good news! The other good news is that the forecast for this week isn't too wet and it even looks dry and 5 degrees next weekend so hopefully the 4WD rescue squad won't be too busy - although I'm sure some complete tool will find a way!

If you know part of the member's name type it into the search box at the top right, click on the grey button to the right of it and select the 'Members' radio button and then the green magnifying glass.

There does seem to be a mail server delay which we are investigating. It is probably a result of splitting some resources onto a cloud.

British Model Railway Awards 2018 - The Winners

Maybe not, but it's a good thing to come across new potential suppliers and they do plenty of interesting stuff. -
I'd have waited until the newsstand copies come out next week with a '?' on the cover. You don't have to buy just one copy!

They'd have to be wider for EM and P4. Seriously though, *some* buyers wouldn't instinctively know what scale 4mm/ft is whereas they do recognise what 'scale' OO is comparatively.

We don't make people vote the way they do; maybe they don't read things properly? There's enough evidence for that 12" up the page. -

It was nice to see so many nominations for Allan in the BMRA first stages and then very gratifying to see an outcome in the voting which recognises Allan's work. Andy Y replied to Waverley West's topic in Layout topics
Congratulations Dave, not one award but two in the BMRA results; a nice tribute from your followers! The full results may be found here - https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/141585-british-model-railway-awards-2018-the-winners/ -
Well done Graham on a well-deserved spot in the BMRA results. The full results appear here - https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/141585-british-model-railway-awards-2018-the-winners/

Supposition. In a previous life I have supplied services (rather than goods admittedly) to Aldi (along with providing services to companies who supply goods to Aldi) and they are into long standing relationships and contracts more than most discount retailers.

It may get you an address though. I hope you had chance to bid a fond farewell and kiss it goodbye.

It'll be a '?'. Hopefully people will like '?' and put them to use!

Michael in our IT dept has come up with some workarounds which hopefully reduce the likelihood of this happening now; we'll keep an eye on things.

I would expect it is editors of toy trade publications - if it means wider publicity for the product then that's no bad thing irrespective of independence or interests.
