  1. When your furniture maker asks you "which side does sir dress?"
  2. More reminiscent of a ski-jump start tower
  3. I scrolled to the second picture expecting that one to be your take on the real location shown in the first; this is a beautiful and realistic bit of modelling, and cannily photographed to boot!
  4. My daughter asked me "Daddy, do you and Mummy have sexual relations?" I thought "the time has come" so braced myself, and answered "Yes, darling, we do" She thought for a moment. Then "Why haven't I met any of them?"
  5. Check out Steve's Small World. He makes texture rollers and stamps: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGA3IhcAeKvz1uB6GLmwa6A/featured
  6. This made me smile; Ditcheat Manor bedecked for Christmas at Great Western shopping outlet in Swindon. The rest of the shopping experience, not so much
  7. Apologies if I have missed it elsewhere Grahame, but I would be interested to see a "how to" of your white-framed windows above. Do you just use a paint pen and ruler, or is there some other witchcraft in play?
  8. This. Made me smile. Over and over...
  9. Box files, traditional construction (without the plastic ends) in Tesco's stationery aisle today.
  10. This is more like it! I've missed my regular drool over your beautiful plastic engineering. Hope you're keeping well Ron; it's really good to see you once again making progress on your own project. Cheers Phil
  11. I love the first comment on this page; "could of," "should of," "would of!" Coupled with all the grammatical and spelling errors, the only place Andrew could have used "of" correctly, he didn't! I know that its all to late to do something about this but i do strongly think that the council should of taken in to fact that they were a number to ways to of kept the art deco building. my grandad worked there for 15 years and he would of been horified that they have pulled down a part of derby. SAVE OUR BUILDINGS BEFORE IT TO LATE!!!! The station could of been restored to its orignal state. it could of been made into a visiter centre filled with classic busses of the 1930s. Andrew Cheers Phil
  12. You're doing them an injustice; they at least think the Earth is ROUND!
  13. Oh no! that's SPOLIED it for everyone!
  14. Hi Scottystitch Thank you for sharing, in your signature; as someone in recovery I can relate 100% and applaud you fighting the stigma. All the best, and I hope your good days outnumber the bad. Cheers (and sorry for hijacking your thread Andrew!) Phil
  15. In our kitchen we have a sign reading "Grandchildren are your reward for not strangling your teenagers!" IMHO being a grandparent is the best part of being a parent (but don't tell my kids that )
  16. That's a lovely looking building. Good to watch it come together through the photos. As I scrolled down through the images I was thinking "that canopy looks a bit stark and bright white," but then the last one comes along and suddenly it stops looking like a model altogether; fantastic work! Cheers Phil
  17. It'd never happen in the UK: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-42009839 Cheers Phil
  18. This made me smile, available to buy from Viz: https://www.moretvicar.com/collections/viz-magazine-shop/?cc=viz-social&utm_content=buffer122c2&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer
  19. Are these the envolopes from the stationary cupboard?
  20. Not quite sure what to think of this...
  21. One option is to use pre-printed craft papers. I have been known to raid SWMBO's stash if I see one that looks like a suitable wallpaper pattern. The patterns are most often much too large to use but, every now and then, one is just right. I always have a riffle through the pads when I'm in The Range, where they are cheapest: https://www.therange.co.uk/arts-and-crafts/papercraft/card-paper-and-foam/paper/simply-creative-fiesta-fun-paper-pad/#176489 Cheers Phil
  22. "No, doctor, I usually just lie there."
