  1. It is unfortunately the nature of Finescale track and the soldered joints on the tie bar. You might not get any issues but over time the solder joint may give way. An easy enough fix if it does, though.
  2. Hi, Solenoid type motors are not recommended with Finetrax turnouts. A slow action motor such as Tortoise or Servos are best.
  3. Hi Guys, CAD work on the 00 Gauge B7 Crossover is now complete: I went with a prototypical centre to centre spacing of 44.67mm. Now for some test prints.... :)
  4. So beautifully, aptly, humorously and honestly illustrated!
  5. Hi Andy, It would be code 60 bullhead rail, IF this does take off. I'm only prototyping in the background for my own musings ATM. I would need full support from the 3mm Society for supply of rail IF this would/could take off...
  6. Hi Guys, I personally love what Hornby are doing! A TT120 Finetrax range of Flexi Track and Turnouts would hopefully compliment the Hornby and Peco TT120 range very well, do you think? Disclaimer: 4mm Scale pictured. But a TT120 version would look very similar! I've done some actual prototyping today and results look good.
  7. Working closely with Wim, don't worry :) He already has two new sample kits on his desk that he is reviewing :)
  8. Haha, exactly what I'm reseaching right now as you posted. I have already made a design at 50mm track centres, but this is not prototypical (too far apart)! I would love to hear peoples input on track centres. Remember that exactly scaling down of the 6 foot way doesn't work as that measures from the insides of the running rails, and of course 00 Gauge doesn't use a prototypical track gauge! So it's best to use prototypical 'track centres' and work from there...
  9. Thanks for all your suggestions, Guys! As it was almost finished, I've just released the 00 Gauge A5 kit: https://www.britishfinescale.com/product-p/finetrax-00-a5.htm Going to do the 00 Gauge B7 Standard Crossover next...
  10. Hi Guys, I've just released the 00-SF 1in7 Single Slip kit: https://www.britishfinescale.com/product-p/finetrax-00-sf-1in7-singleslip.htm Working on the EM Gauge Single Slip kit this afternoon, hopefully have this on the website this evening :) What kits do you guys want to see next?
  11. Hi Guys, Not 4mm, but James Hilton has uploaded a great assembly video of a Finetrax N Gauge B6 turnout kit, thanks James!:

  13. Hi Duncan, Should be over the next couple of months. I've not done much in the way of CAD work over the last 3 - 4 weeks as orders have been pretty high, but it's calming down this week so can get back to it. I do go on Holiday for a week from the 12th, so the webstore will be closed during that time.
  14. This shouldn't happen if you correctly select both entry and exit road of any possible path...
  15. I've got an A5 released in EM Gauge, so both 00 Gauge and 00-SF versions will follow shortly. Similar answer to above :)
  16. Hi Guys, The 00 Gauge 1in7 Single Slip kit is finally up: https://www.britishfinescale.com/product-p/finetrax-00-1in7-singleslip.htm Just finishing off wiring diagram for intructions now. Onwards and upwards :)
