To me it looks like the boiler sits fractionally too low where it meets the firebox. Also the firebox top corners are too square. So had to look up images of 4073 for comparison and to me these confirm this. Looking back it's fair to say we all missed this earlier on its simplly emphasised by paint. Graham

Thanks for the update on the set 469 in terms of length and formation it's probably too long for me so I will be buying lose coaches as I only want four or five coach set.

Dapol website launches page updated with June delivery of br livery maunsell coaches. What is the make up of coach set 469? Plus final cad cam of both four compartment break diagram 2101 and six compartment composite diagram 2401.

To me the silver anniversary train pack says a lot now as great opportunity missed not to have silver jubilee in original lms silver livery. How much would collectors have paid for that and us modellers fought over them. Mind you a while to consolidate didn't Dapol say the same? To me I admit I'm not spending at the moment as I'm working on kits and layout. That said I'm holding off the day of my first 100 loco, but likely to be n class or Dapol bullied depending on which comes first!

All in all I suppose if it is to celebrate a birthday it's not a massive party more a quiet evening in!

Could not resist a Brit at £60 so now have 70030 waiting to test and run in Thursday. All parts present although no oiling instructions which I can get from this thread. All looks good for me. I was thinking of getting a new engine but will now get three home signals to finish part of my lay out at which stage I may even take some pictures and share them. other drill bits are available to this one but I'll be using one of these to create the required hole. 14mm drill bit Graham
