  1. New Bond film followed by a curry for wife Kim's birthday last night - you cant buy class!

No spoilers but classic Bond, great stunts and car chases, humour and pathos and the bad guy has his own island - what's not to like!!

  3. Hi Argos, I have a pair of 9.5mm drivers you can have. Let me have your postal address and I will get them up to you.

I want to know where all the wheels go. The Association have sold literally hundreds of sets of wheels over the years yet you only ever get to see a handful of locos appearing - somebody, somewhere must have loads!!

I have a small stash but very few, if any of the common sizes left. In my defense I've built over thirty locos for myself and a similar number for other people. I'm currently waiting for 8mm tender wheels and 9mm drivers for future projects but do have wheels in hand for current projects - and the next few locos waiting to come onto the bench are 4mm anyway!

    cheers Jerry

      Hi Jerry,

Thanks Jerry, my postal address is:

      Angus Higgins

      The Beeches

      Lake Road

      Rudyard

      Staffordshire

      ST13 8RN

Let me know if there is anyway I can repay the favour!

8mm tender wheels aren't showing out of stock but as Richard Brummitt was also looking to swap some I guess they must be.

The nearest I have is 8.5mm in stock for a black 5 kit that I won't get around to build for at least a year.

      Are these any use?

      Thanks

      Angus

  4. Kim took me to Corfe / Swanage today for my birthday treat. Steam, fish and chips and a walk on the beach with the dogs. Now at home in front of the wood burner with a large G&T, pretty much perfect day really!

  7. Christmas tree has been up around six hours and cats have already trashed it. They particularly like the little red balls with the bells in!

I felt old 10 years ago when my then 13 year old step daughter asked me what an LP was. This year my nine year old son asked me what a CD was. Felling even older now.

  9. If you want to see a very happy model shop owner then pop in and see Dave at the Gascupboard in Trowbridge next week. Bristol Rovers back in the League at the first time of asking.

The 'Gasheads' are back! I shall take delight in mentioning it to the village shopkeeper tomorrow. He's a Robins' supporter and will go nuts!I might get thrown out!

Bannister and Warboys, smash and grab. I have their autograph somewhere, they opened a sport shop in Warminster! I used to go to Swindon more than Rovers but the Gas's kit is still one of my favourite strips.

35 and you could of got away with it. Speed + 10% + 2mph, enforceable on the second mph!!!! Bad luck! The awareness course saves the points going on, so may be an option for you.

Completely understandable series of events, from both Kim's point of view and also that of the kitten...! (we've only put lights and one angel on our tree, due to intense kitten interest!)

You'll be fine, Jerry. Get the wine in, settle in front of the box with the sound cranked up, and have a wail of a time! (mud free too, unless the dogs pounce on you after their walkies) Enjoy "oldies Glasto" ha ha!!
