  1. Hello Gilbert

I just wanted to 'check in' and say very many thanks for your consistent hard work and efforts in supplying us 'PN Fans' with daily updates and evocative photos.

It is much appreciated by me, even if I only comment on the odd occasion!🙂

  2. Hello everyone

Many congratulations to Bachmann on this announcement and we wish them every success with the project.

The Palvan has been (generally) very High Polling within The 00 Wishlist Poll and was the 'most wanted' vehicle in the Freight Stock: 1948-1963 category in 2019 and 2022 (which was the last Poll to run until we run again around Christmas this year).

I can't speak for my colleagues, but I personally will have some!👍

  3. Hello Fran

A kind soul at HQ sent me a text to say that I had ordered another item on the same order but that they had now 'split it away' so that my Bananas can be despatched. (A Banana Split?🙂)

I guess I 'cancelled' with Hattons and 're-ordered' with you - hence a slight delay as I no doubt went down the queue.

I have received the TMC Specials and they are just lovely!

Many thanks Fran and all the Team at HQ!

Maybe they'd be the logical maker of the Road Tank trailer on transporter wagon combo... 😉

    Hello John

Certainly agree with that part of your earlier post.👍

Within The Results of The 00 Wishlist Poll 2022, the 6-wheel Milk Tank Truck (20ft 6in) with 4-wheel Milk Tanker Trailer Load was in The Top 50.

Immediately behind that in the NPCCS category - and high up in High Polling - was the 6-wheel Milk Tank Truck (24ft 6in) with 6-wheel Milk Tanker Trailer Load.

  5. Many thanks Miss P - I mis-read my results!😳

I have placed a note on my original post to see correction here...

The Dean Non-gangwayed and Gangwayed Clerestory Coaches have been High Polling and missed The Top 50 by one vote in 2022.

The Dean Low Roof Coaches (4-, 6- & 8-wheel) have been Middle Polling up to 2018, then went up to High in 2019, staying there for 2022.

  6. Hello everyone

I don't like to take threads (further) off topic but felt the following might be of interest to Johnster etc.

Within The Results of The 00 Wishlist Poll, the 'Toplight' gangwayed stock and associated Diag.K22 Passenger Brake Van have regularly been either High Polling or within The Top 50.

The 'Mainline & City Stock' (the very recent Dapol non-gangwayed stock) was always very Low Polling. Even given the stock's relatively restricted range (in prototype terms) we can see why it has been made, though.

The Dean Clerestory 4- & 6-wheel stock has always been High Polling and missed The Top 50 by just one vote in 2022 (the last Poll to run). That is higher up than they have been in previous years. PLEASE SEE CORRECTION TO THIS ON NEXT PAGE!

  7. Many congratulations to Ben and Revolution on this announcement!

Within the Results of The 00 Wishlist Pollthe class had been Middle Polling for some time but went up to High Polling in 2019 and stayed there for 2022 (the last Poll to run before we run again near Christmas this year, and we didn't run in 2020 or 2021).

We wish the company every success with this project!👍

  8. Congratulations to Rapido on this bold move!

Within The 00 Wishlist Poll, we sadly don't have room to list individual vehicles of all the railway companies.

However, for 2022 (the last Poll to run), we created a new category for 'specifically Scottish' items. We listed CR Rolling Stock - and it came in High Polling.🙂

The next Poll will run near Christmas. Within that, we have split up the listings into two for you and CR fans will find:

    CR Freight Stock

    CR Passenger & Non-passenger-carrying Stock.

We wish Rapido every success with the project.

I hope this isn't going to add to the workload of our Moderators! They need every hour to keep on top of the forum and the pesky "ad-techs" who seem intent on annoying us for no good reason.

    Hello Phil

I have already prepared the review, construction, checking and running schedule for The 00 Wishlist Poll 2024 and Andy has seen it.

I noted that - although (at the time of writing) there was no NEC event - I had actually built in plenty of 'recovery margin' for him in case anything stepped in to fill the breach.🙂

@BMacdermott And it was an incomplete model so really should always have been up for revisiting right from the get go.

    Hello Woodenhead

The 00 Poll Team uses a 'cut-off date' (latterly end of 2005 for the 2022 Poll) so that we don't make 'quality judgements' about what does or doesn't go in.

  11. Hello Rob and everyone

Apologies...I need to make a correction.

I said in an earlier post: Even though the DJM 14xx was made 'within our cut-off date', we added the class to The 00 Wishlist Poll 2022  as the company was 'defunct'.

We didn't realise that the project 'belonged' to Hattons. However, as Hattons is (sadly) closing, we will retain it in The Poll unless any company 'takes it over' or announces a new tooling.

  12. Hello everyone

Looks like long delays inbound at LHR (due weather?). I heard at least two planes say that they were approaching minimum fuel in the holds and might have to divert to LGW.

Inbounds Delta 3 (JFK) and United 924 (IAD) just completed a circuit over Bristol. And Speedbird 24R (ORD) is just doing the same.

  13. Hello Peter

Within the Results of The 00 Wishlist Poll, the class had - for a number of years - bumped along between Low and Middle Polling.

However, in 2022 (the last Poll to run before we run again later this year) the class had reached High Polling and was not far off The Top 50.

As I've said before (this topic seems to come round about once a year), I enjoy making things but, as for all of us, time is limited - so if something is available ready to use at a sensible price, I'll buy it and "bank" the time saved to make something that isn't.

You're not paying attention - it's much more frequent than once a year!🙂

I've had the Vector Zero Three Crawler http://morleycontrollers.com/shopexd.asp?id=46 for over a year now, no start/stopping issues whatsoever with up to date Bachmann and v.old Hornby and Tri-ang locos - unlike with my previous Gaugemaster Combi which I binned. Very smooth and controllable at all speeds.

Many thanks Mr Chuffer - clearly an improvement on what they had (and pretty much confirmed by a YouTube video I have just seen).

I had forgotten to say that I had another 'difficulty' with the controller. I very much prefer a direction switch so that I know I have a 'definite no power' position. The Morley units are back and forward. I also found that the handheld units didn't 'sit' so nicely in my hand.

I did once have the Gaugemaster handhelds but found the slider switch gave me a form of RSI (very mildly and no intended criticism of Gaugemaster).  The All Components controllers have a rocker switch to which I fit a plastic sleeve for even greater 'comfort'.

All a matter of personal opinion.🙂
