  2. Hi Tom, Just to clarify for everyone that you are not using Templot 3D plug track. I think you have created your own 3D files to match a 2D Templot track plan? It's hard work trying to make sure folks don't get confused. Templot 3D plug track puts the webs at the end of the timbers, and has its own system of connector clips for modules (called "bricks" in Templot -- think Lego). As you say, it all gets lost under the ballast: cheers, Martin.
  3. Being nicely sealed is not much help. Fords: the road surface is often green and slimy with little grip. It takes very little side-flow of water to push a vehicle off the road. Floods: you can't see what's under the water. The flood could have washed out pot holes or deposited debris on the road. If the flooded length is more than a few dozen yards you can lose your bearings between the verges - few country roads are dead straight.
  4. It's an information sign. It's unsuitable for motor vehicles in the opinion of whoever put it there. You may disagree. Especially if you are driving say a farm tractor or a JCB. But if you do decide to drive across, the legal speed limit is 20mph. The sign may also relieve the local Highways Authority of a legal requirement to maintain it suitable for vehicles. Martin.
  5. Google image search says Bourton-on-the-Water: https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3389603 https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/51.88272/-1.75601 https://maps.app.goo.gl/txaVNC3ie8fcBKFD9
  6. Or anyone else? Top sign, triangular = Warning. Can be legally ignored. Middle sign, rectangular = Information. Can be legally ignored. Bottom sign, circular = Mandatory. Can't be.
  7. Was there an earthquake? The downpipe on the building has managed to stay upright, but everything else has gone over at a crazy angle. I managed to fix the earthquake, but not the spelling:
  8. It's a standard UK sign: linked from: https://jrbenterprises.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/sign57-600x600.jpg But not usually posted 10ft high:
  9. That would require a diagonal red bar across it. The red ring means it's mandatory if found up a tree.
  10. Soak? Not many gales in July.
  11. By licking it off the gate?
  12. Just hinting for the farmer:
  13. @MJI Hi Martin, If starting in FDM, you might want to look at the topics on the Templot Club forum, such as: https://85a.uk/templot/club/index.php?threads/3d-printer-kingroon-kp3s-pro-s1.850/ The standard profiles supplied with most FDM printers may not give the best results for timbering bases. See the above link for suggested custom settings. cheers, Martin.
  14. @MJI Hi Martin, Most users are using FDM printing or laser-cut ply for the timbering bases. With ABS-Like resin for the chairs. This is FDM timbering: Martin.
  15. linked from https://shepherdminiatures.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/sugar-puffs-2.jpg Now Honey Puffs. Don't mention the sugar. Martin.
  16. No signal needed with these.
  17. Recently in these parts Cadent have been renewing the gas pipes. I observed them working at a hole in the road, with barriers all round and No Smoking signs. One workman tapped the ash from his cigarette on the fire extinguisher. Martin.
  18. Back to the whacky signs? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-68226224
  19. @hayfield Hi John, See also: https://www.rmweb.co.uk/forums/topic/148665-williams-workbench-lbscr-lcdr-ser/?do=findComment&comment=5423177 STL files can be downloaded from: https://www.g1-3d.uk/models/table The scale can be changed in Cura. For fine detail you may do better with ordinary PLA instead of the PLA-PLUS toughened filament. Martin.
