  1. Rob - I've bought these to try: https://westhillwagonworks.com/layout-accessories/631-track-pin-mate-oo-gauge-handy-track-laying-accessory.html https://westhillwagonworks.com/layout-accessories/632-rail-joiner-mate-oo-gauge-handy-track-laying-accessory-pack-of-2.html Chris
  2. I'm there with Penmaenbach... Chris H

What a shock - my condolences to Nigel's family and friends. I too only spoke to him at Manchester last month as well as taking one of my layouts to Fareham last September... Chris H
  4. Likewise - and I have checked my account to ensure I did actually order one! Chris
  5. I also rang and updated my card before Christmas. Chris
  6. Funnily enough I've just been looking at trains down from Bath on 27th...may get some time at Eastleigh station as well...I went last year and thought it was excellent. Chris H
  7. I used to go there every Christmas with my grandad to choose a present.....happy days. I loved the little single line dioramas they had in ( I think) glass cases.....this bit of Pixash Lane was my own little tribute... Chris H
  8. Indeed I too am in the expectant crowd and was hoping payment would have been taken by now but a phone call is just going to waste more of the time of their very small team at SLW
  9. I stumbled across this link to Bluford Car Shops while doing a bit of layout planning. It gives a really useful railroad timeline for North America. http://www.bluford-shops.com/bluford_93_024.htm Chris H
  10. Exactly the same in the South West
  11. Its probably worth looking back at old threads on this shop. Chris
  12. Re. the P. If Hatton's are trying to exit the market completely (my assumption) will they want to be hanging around dealing with warranty issues etc on any new models for the foreseeable?
  13. I'll see you 50 and raise you 55....I traded in my Hornby Dublo for Scalextric with Norman....I know....big mistake...but what a shock........I remember seeing the letter from various palaces and stately homes thanking Hattons for their mail order service..
  14. If you are that far down the road it may be easier to substitute other Point Motors - annoying but it may work? I have no experience of the Twistlock products however...
  15. Nothing new for the Old Mill I fear...
  16. Slower on DCC apparently....
  17. Reliability/Durability is a key for me - especially as I go to shows with my layouts - I suspect Rob has the same need...I'm about to build my first Finetrax 00 point but it will be interesting to see if it ends up on an exhibition layout (not a reflection on the product - just my ability to build one....) Chris
  18. Looking at my photos I may have added a smalll styrene block to the underframe where the screw is located...
  19. Here you go...not great photos but they do the job. I shunt on a small layout and find a bit of drag increases coupler reliability - hence the foam. Chris
  20. They are. NEM KD18s were rather droopy/low so I removed the pockets and fitted KD 147s (Medium underset) in 252 snap together small pockets which I have fitted with small screws in such a way that the NEM pockets can be re-fitted if required in future. Chris H
  21. My (uncaptioned) photos from these two shows...click on the photos for the album. Chris H
  22. A bit scary.....look what I was doing...a New Year and a new layout... Chris H
