    I know...looking at the Met Office forecast Sat pm/Sun am it felt as if I needed to bring my Airfix Noah's Ark ( Series 3) kit...I'm a bit hacked off TBH as I could have done Thornbury on Sunday. Looked like a great show at Portsmouth... Chris

    But.....proximity may be an advantage when shunting etc depending on your coupler choice.......you do seem to have some space available if you wanted to skew the sidings away from the front edge... Chris H

    I was intending to go down to the excellent looking 1 day show at Portsmouth by rail but weather forecast for south coast and area south of Salisbury etc is sh1te so I'll probably pop up to Thornbury I expect unless the forecast improves overnight Pity in one way as I have a potential invite to the Portsmouth show in 2024 and I've never been so it was a bit of reconnaissance...     A doggy outing to Westonbirt Arboretum today for Miss Daisy...who is.....allegedly.... a black lab...I'm not so sure these days...

    I was on that trip and it was what prompted my original posting. The lack of diesel on the rear was the topic of much discussion at Carlisle among both rail enthusiasts and other passengers such as my other half who was surprised we had no "insurance" for the trip south. Chris
