Good evening!
As I will be visiting as a member of the paying public can I assume the venue is walkable from the WSR station? There is a train from BL arriving about 1130....Rob may be there by then of course which will be a bonus...

I don't know exactly what they offer in terms of a basic unit but Gaugemaster have an excellent reputattion for back up, warranty etc.
Would this do?

Colour coding wires for different point or certainly labelling wires will pay off in the long run....as will the ability to change a dodgy point motor easily.
I use male/female sockets to allow an easy removal.
I use stuff like this - but not from this seller - just a convenient link.

It's somewhere in a parallel universe that happens to have the name "Helston".
To be fair to the team there the layout name is caveated...

I think there's a large number of variations in the 25s, unlike the few types of 24 first issued. I thunk that's the problem when sending and checking each order.
Having chatted to Mr S at York I am confident he knows his stuff....in detail....

Unfortunately I've had to tell Rob just now that I won't be able to attend the show this year after all, due to having to have a medical procedure, the timing of which has clashed with the event.
The day will be less enjoyable (and challenging!) without you...

Of course, I expect the sound package to include ice cream van chimes, too.

Just wondering if anybody has got pictures of the excellent SLW Class 25's? It would bee great to see some, whilst I wait patiently for mine! Many thanks Chris
Mine is all packed up ready for a trip out on Penmaenbach at the Cheltenham Show this weekend - I will try for some fots then - it is a bit clean though....

I purchased a new one of these at the York Show and attempted a test run today.
Sadly although the motor appears to work it is clearly not connected to the wheels!
I have sent a message to the retailer but wondered if anyone else had encountered the same issue and if it is an easy fix which I could do myself - I am yet to open it up and won't do so until I hear back from the shop.

To the best of my knowledge SLW test every loco prior to despatch.....this takes time
The sound project is bespoke and custom fitted here in the UK - and tested.
I'm not aware of any "returns". of SLW locos.
I have personal experience of the products of a "prize winning" manufacturer where I have eventually settled for a refund (one loco type) or made significant DCC changes ( a second loco type) which means the product is definitely not "RTR"......
I am happy wait for my SLW locos in the knowledge that once I have them they will be exceptional.
It you don't like the business model.....don't buy the locos...simples
I am very happy to wait for my locos.....
