  1. Does anyone know if the unnumbered ones come with a transfer sheet?
  2. That's correct. Kernow stated it was a production model. Hopefully this turns out to be a misunderstanding and it is indeed pre-production. It must be said that Dapol are not helping themselves or customers with what seems to be complete radio silence on this model. I personally have lost confidence due to this and cancelled my two pre-orders until I'm sure I'm looking at a production model.
  3. Any update Gareth on when the remanufactured HAAs are due? Thanks.
  4. Don't build your hopes up, this is what the Kernow email said - "Dapol brought a production Class 59 to our open weekend, and very kindly allowed us to have it photographed..."
  5. What a strange thing to get wrong and what a shame? It's almost as if they've modelled a class 66 silencer/bay and is a prominent difference once highlighted. Wonder if an after market replacement of the correct size will become available?
  6. I don't think we should be getting too excited about the large logo 'error' until we've seen pictures of the production models. The pictures on Rails of Sheffield's website, indeed all websites I can find, show the loco numbered 73114 so must be a pre- production model as the large logo version is now due to be released as 73126.
  7. Can you please tell me where these pictures of the next batch are? Thanks. The only pictures I can find are obviously pre-production as the loco is numbered 73114 rather than 73126.
  8. Based on what? Not seen any photos of the new batch yet.
  9. Here's a strange one. I've had a couple of the original release versions of the Bachmann IPA wagons (38-250) in store since I bought them new many years ago and I've just got them out given the impending arrival of my Collectors Club white version and Revolution's complementary IPA wagons. I've just noticed that one of these 'new' wagons is formed of the same 'two' halves. The superstructure looks to be broadly the same on both halves but the brake arrangement & equipment is very different as per the picture borrowed from eBay below. I have two of the right hand side halves. Don't suppose anyone out there has two of the left hand versions and wants to swap one?! It's the sort of thing that you probably wouldn't spot easily but once you are aware of the issue you cannot help going straight to it.
  10. Great to see the original livery IPA being made available for the first time albeit my eyes were watering when I just paid for it. Makes you realise what a bargain they were for such a complex model when they were first released in 2010 at around £23 each after discount!
  11. Think the presentation said it was going to be a slightly different shade of yellow, presumably as per the prototypes?
  12. Is the roof fan grill sitting rather high on this model? It could be that it is just not properly pushed in to place on this particular model or an optical illusion?
  13. Have you considered Accurascale's recently re-released Castle Cement PCAs? These never worked off Earles Sidings however. Personally I'd love an up to date model of the Vee Cement PCAs but that's not for this thread.
  14. Email received from Hattons today saying the 59s are due August/September (2022).
  15. Before using JGA wagons the Penmaenmawr - Hope Street roadstone workings used HKV wagons as pictured below (not to be confused by the similar looking but shorter HJV wagons used on the Mostyn sulphur traffic). Other traffic not mentioned yet was TTA fuel oil to Holyhead, although I assume that went as part of the Speedlink workings until they ended, and a short term flow of steel coil for export from Mostyn in 1989 (in the 90's more steel was transported through Mostyn).
  16. I'd love to see a pair of Thornaby blue 37/0s like those in Bill Watson's fantastic Flickr image below.
  17. I'm not sure I totally agree. With fast selling limited editions there is a risk of unintentionally alienating customers while elating others. Not sure what the answer is however.
  18. I've received a payment request today from KMS Railtech for the HAAs I've pre-ordered from them so I assume these will be arriving in stock shortly.
  19. Coincidently I 'found' this the other day during a walk near Connah's Quay docks which led me to research the type. The number was still legiable - B786961.
  20. Looking forward to these. Question for our friends at Accurascale. A couple of people have mentioned wanting to model a late 1980s 31/4. I'm in the same boat but the headlight on 31432 makes it theortically only suitable for 1991 onwards. Has any consideration been given to supplying the headlights as seperately fitted parts for the user to attach if required? This would also make renumbering an easier proposition for centrally or offset headlight prototypes.
