  1. The KMS blue ones represent the Scottish saltire versions, however they're missing the flag on the blue frame due to copyright reasons 🤦‍♂️ I didn't even know a national flag was copyright protected! I've got 6 Harburn Hobbies limited edition Hornby versions from years ago which all have the saltire on them, as have a bit of a soft spot for anything Scottish.
  2. Desperately trying to justify one for my early-2000s Yorkshire layout but none of this first batch are quite right. I think the closest would be the FGW, which I could rework to FNW, or one of the Merseyrail versions, but they'd need to be the later versions with the large digi destination screens – does the tooling allow for this feature in future runs? Would snap your hand off for Northern Spirit, Arriva (Northern) or any of the transition liveries that Arriva/Northern acquired (T&W, RR etc).
  3. Kernow have now got their exclusive DB version on offer, with the sound fitted one being just £200. https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/72490/32-612ZSF-Bachmann-Class-90-1-Electric-90-129-Frachtverbindungen Think I paid £250 for a second-hand sound fitted one so this seems like a great deal!
  4. Looks promising. Can't wait to see some more sample images! Unfortunately no liveries for me in this batch. Hoping for Regional Railways, First North Western, Merseyrail, Northern Spirit and Arriva Trains Northern in the future 🤞 If there is a Batch 2, what would be the estimated timeline be on these?
  5. Hi @RBE, Thanks so much for the quick reply. Unfortunately I've had a sickness bug so only just managed to have a look at it. I've taken the base keeper plate off but the bogie side frame seems reluctant to move inwards. I can't tell what's stopping it and don't want to force it more than I have to. If I can send to you guys to get it fixed that'd be great as don't want to break anything. Is it the Braintree address on the box?
  6. My pair have eventually turned up. Was starting to get impatient having originally ordered them back in June 2021. All these photos and YouTube videos were only heightening my anticipation! Apparently Rails hadn't been supplied with enough of the Sound Fitted models to fulfil their orders so there was a slight delay. The EWS Sound one I received doesn't have the official Loksound/Sound Fitted stickers on the box, but instead has Rails' own Sound Fitted sticker over the 'DCC Fitted' text on the box. It's also missing the A4 sheet with all the sound functions on. 🤔 No biggie I guess as I'll probably type it up from the small version in the booklet. This one appears to work faultlessly and the sound is extremely impressive. As a person who just likes to plonk trains on the track and get them running, the random background sounds are a really nice touch. Driveability seems superb. Also head/tail light brightness is super-realistic! Working fans aren't really for me but appreciate the effort in this area. A real step up from my Hornby examples, which have always had minor niggles and running issues (seized gears, troublesome fan rubber belts...) Unfortunatley both models came unseated on their plinths, the EWS one seems ok, however my DCC Fitted Loadhaul version is damaged. I thought I'd mention this on here first in case it's an easy fix rather than me having to return to Rails after waiting all this time. The end of one of the bogies splays outwards meaning the rear axle won't stay on the track as one end of the wheelset is 'floating'. I tried applying a bit of force to try and 'clip' the bogie back together but as there are some fragile looking parts I didn't want to risk damaging it further - any advice Cavalex? The only other minor issue with this is one of the sprung buffers sticks in when pushed. Overall very impressed and definitely worth the wait, just slightly disheartened with one arriving damaged.
  7. Likewise. I don't think it was clear at all that these weren't factory-fitted DCC. If I'd have known I'd have just sourced my own decoder and saved them the hassle (and me the delay). Despite having £60 of my money since mid 2021, they still don't seem to know when I'll get my models after initially saying they'd be sent out late last week.
  8. If you have any friends at Dapol, maybe they can assist with the photo part of the livery 😃
  9. Northern Spirit was top of my list but I managed to pick up a Rainbow Railways repaint, so second choice would be any of the early Northern liveries (angled swooshes) or the later promo ones (NRM, Ravenglass, Settle-Carlisle).
  10. That's great - thanks for confirming so quickly. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something! Looking forward to replacing my underscale Roco versions 😃
  11. Just looking at ordering a few of these. On the original announcement post there was artwork for one with just the yellow dot (No H/HT lettering), however I can't see this option on the dropdown. If someone from Revolution could advise that'd be great!
  12. Another great announcement! Have just pre-ordered the two WCRC examples and was pleasently surprised to see I had £27 worth of credit, so it worked out at £37.54 per coach with the 10% discount! Do you do nectar points as well?! 😅 Does anyone on here know when these two coaches first appeared with West Coast Railways? I model 2005 (give or take a few years) and always struggle to find reference images/stock lists of charter stock from that time period. Any help greatly appreciated!
  13. Yes to any of the yellow livered 142s! An idea for the First Great Western 142 – Could this be in the original FNW livery. This then gives people the option to update to FGW (or Northern, or debranded...). I figured painting pink doors on is better than trying to repaint to match the bodyside blue. If there's commonality with the ATW livery and the Arriva Trains Northern livery, it'd be great to get a version for post-2000 northern region modellers as well 😀 Northern Spirit would be number one for me!
  14. Top one for me as it stayed like this for a while into privatisation (albeit with Arriva instead of RR branding).
  15. Glad someone else is picking up on this too. The early WIPAC light clusters on the 66s were fully painted, then they started just painting black on the front. It just looks so wrong!
