  3. What a research. Nicely choice for your Farthing Sidings. I the past I had also a look at the railways at Glouchester. Was interested in the railways around the docks. For your general millage sidings I think you can find some useful information on this website: http://www.gloucesterdocks.me.uk ( noticed the link says page not found: click on home in that page and you will go to their home page) Looking forward to your progress. Regards, Job
  4. Thanks Mikkel. Your thread on track helped, making my choice for the track on the arches of my diorama. Job
  5. Nice solution. I agree that the new version looks better. Are you planning some signs to the road and the railway ?
  6. Nice crane. When I see such a nice piece of modelling I wished I had the possibility to use other materials then card, wood and only water based glues. But on the other hand I'm glad I can still do some modelling. Like your blog very much. Keep surprising us.
  7. Like your modelling very much. Always a pleasure to read about your progress.
  8. Lovely, great layout. I like those shops. What a detail. A lot of inspiration here to get my modelling to a higher level.
  9. Lovely way to explain your modeling activities. Does not have every one met such a teacher in his youth. I can remember two of them.
  10. Nice modeling again. Although not possibly for me, I look always at the way people try to solve the problems and the techniques they use. Your blog is in this way always of interest for me.
  11. I like the concept. Very useful for me as a diorama builder. This will give me a change to create different scenes to make the diorama more useful for photographic "story telling". I will give your concept a try on the diorama I'm building. Regards, Job
  12. Nice job. Is it also possible to use DAS-clay ?
  13. Great job. Like the way you are working on this "layout". Very inspirational. regards, Job
  14. How to create a perfect small diorama?

You've got a better chance of a good answer to that than I have! :)

  15. Nice to see that your back on the web. Still looks great to me. With a smaller layout you also have the possibility to spend more attention to detailing. I like to mention in this case the Farthing layout(s). Regards, Job
  16. Changed my RMweb profile

  17. I like your idea of telling a story around the layout. Think about using your idea for the design of my next project. What people lived in the houses? Who is the grocer? What kind of laundry is hanging above the street? By using different object you can also change from day to day. One question? How do you make it possible to set your persons on different places. Those white metal models have all pins. Regards, Job
  18. How about a Ferodo Bridge or a similar railway bridge.
  19. As addition to the narrow boat and lock : - a lock keepers cottage (to build with and without horse stables.) - a canal side industry - barges Regards, Job
  20. Next time a build a layout I will try the integral base for Scalescene models. Very nice cottages.
  21. Looks great. What materials did you use.
  22. Great modelling. Looking forward to your progress. Job
