  1. Just seen on facebook the Midland railway has suffered some recent acts of vandalism!! What is the matter with people theese days? https://www.facebook.com/MidlandRailwayButterley
  2. If they produce a 225 then you will need OHLE to justify it or a class 67 to drag it around.
  3. I would say that the HST/125 is the diesel equivalent of Flying Scotsmam or Mallard.
  4. Must admit, I'm tempted by the HST set, not that I need one has I have a few Lima ones in 00 already. 😆
  5. Never really been a fan of the LNER or BR Eastern Region, but I  now have a TT:120 Falcon and Knight Hawk.  They just look right in this scale. 😁

  6. Now Accurascale/IRM have branched out into TT:120 how about shrinking the MK2's down. And sone 16T minerals, you can never have too many 16 tonners. :😁 https://www.accurascale.com/en-eu/products/tt120-accurascale-research-team-three-figure-pack?syclid=co7d4pch33ns739pj2n0&utm_campaign=emailmarketing_148410532025&utm_medium=email&utm_source=shopify_email
  7. No, not really, the point being people are saying that Hornby are producing items and nothing to go with them, They have Locos, coaches and wagons, yes agree may not all mix era wise, but at least you have a train even if its not quite 100% authentic. Heljan have produced coaches for their 0 gauge range but nothing for 00/4mm.
  8. The class 66's pulled/hauled MGR wagons, ok not in the liverys currently on offer but just apply rule 1 or repaint into EWS livery.
  9. Why is there negativity toward TT:120? , espesially comments about the range not being compimentry or locos with nothing for them to haul. Just look at the Heljan '00' loco's, quite a range but no coaches for them, and some freight stock. Considering it was only lauched around 18 months ago, it has obviously proved to be popular, just look how quicky the current train sets sell out. Though I mainly do British 00 and European H0 I am gradually aquiring TT:120 items for a future layout.
  10. WD-40 defiatley a No No, I use SHMBO sewing machine oil applied with a needel or pin. For gears I use hobe-e-lube.
  11. Must have done it for the Hastings line then lol :) 😁 I am more than happy with my Lima ones.
  12. I now use BSI epoxy. Also the same companys supaglue. May seem expensive compared to some brands but so far I am impressed with their products. https://eirehobbies.com/collections/green-stuff-epoxy/products/bsi-quik-cure-5-min-epoxy-4-5-oz
  13. I never mentioned about not paying true cost. Hatton's gave a choice of reasonable shipping options from cheap and cheerfull to registered fully tracked.
  14. Good that the database is still going to be available. It would be great if they introduced a Trunk service like Hatton's used to have and have the various shipping options without having to worry about the customs and VAT hassle.
  15. Thats one thing that always amuses me, people complaining about accuracy and minor details or livery errors but happily run '00' scale models on 'H0' gauge track! Used to have DCC sound but was not convinced, Much prefer hearing the sound of the loco and stock running on the rails. :)
  16. Spoke to them on the phone last week to place order, how it works (For overseas orders) is you place your order and then they will get back to you with the shipping cost then if you are happy with the cost you proceed with the order. The pesrson I spoke to was very helpful and was one of the former employees from Hatton's. Must also say that they were very responsive to my email enquiries too.
  17. TMC Model Centre seems to work ok. Placed an order last week, English VAT deducted and then paid Irish VAT + handling fee, delivered Royal Mail and Anpost. https://www.themodelcentre.com/
  18. Has anyone from overseas, EU countires ordered from them, Unable to get shipping cost and what courior/postal service they use to Ireland, sent them a email but not had any reply as yet.
  19. Nothing for that sort of money here lol, you looking at over €100.00 for Dublin for a start, thats one of the reasons why I gave up exhibiting at shows was the cost of accomodation. Big organisations such as Key, Warners etc maybe can bear the cost of accomodation for exhibitors, but obviously smaller clubs that run shows may not which is why 'most' run exhibitions to raise funds for the club as well as promoting the hobby.
  20. I personally like to see a good mix of layouts, UK based, European and Canadian/US, though I will generally have a look at all the layouts at shows even if I dont have interest in a paticulat era.
  21. Got my 0 gauge stock out after being stored for over four years, Have now decided to rejoin the Gauge 0 guild.

  22. Took me some time before deleting Hatton's from my bookmarks! 😞 Has others have mentioned, not the end of the world, but as yet not found any other retailer who is as good has Hatton's were, (For non UK customers).
