  1. You assume DJM had the rights to the CS scheme or indeed any other in the first place, wasn’t there an isssue with Class 59 schemes he couldn’t get the permissions ? Also he claimed to have some kind of special prize in partnership with CS, any news or word on that ?? This new project 92 saw a gap in the market and will fill it, if the DJM model ever breaks plastic then the market will decide in the end.
  2. I think it’s professional to be honest, they don’t want to be drawn into a spat about another firm. You’d have to be a hermit under a rock not to know DJ was/is doing a 92, to even attempt to hide it by another firm would be foolish and pointless. Saldy snips at other firms where a feature of this area of the forum.
  3. You’d think DJ would come back on here with a big bold confidence building statement regards his 92 project, but instead issues a “froth” filled statement with the standard “things I can’t tell you about” line again. i wish those who have given their money the best, and indeed to DJ who reported to have remortgaged his house to fund the firm back in the start, but I’ve given my money to the new scheme purely as they have a record of delivering and don’t play out their business like Eastenders.
  4. Oh my goodness ! ill definitely be ordering some Railfreight Scheme locos, but I’ll wait until firm prices are confirmed so I can budget accordingly. what others have said about the MK5s is right, a staged release to spread our budgets would help push people towards a bigger order, there’s nothing worse than placing a order in good faith then when the time comes be faced witch a huge bill that you fully expected you’d be able to fund being cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. The ability to spread payment or release would be really useful.
  5. Art work for the Narrow Planet Etched number plates for my Minvera panniers.
  6. A little delivery from Rails of Sheffield today, very pleased ordered at 1530 yesterday the parcel landed today at dinner time ! Lionheart 64XX Pannier, three BR standard brakes and a BR standard box van. A take on the Severn Boar II railtour of 1965.
  7. More woe for DJ? This bloke just can't catch a break poor chap. i genuinely want these models to come through as it's my favourite loco, but well.....
  8. I’m more or less happy with 9659 now, I’ll have another look at 4698 when the paint dries.
  9. Im sure some will recoil in horror, however this way of doing things has helped get the first stage on the locos. 1) Paint on with a soft brush. 2) Brush off with a hard brush.
  10. 4671 and 4698 both with temporary “chalked” cabside numbers.
  11. I've just brought this locos as well, could you say where you brought yours from please ?
  12. My Dapol 8750 Pannier No. 9659 in British Railways with GWR lettering arrived this morning, I must say the packaging Dapol have supplied is extremely good there is no way the loco is going to move or become damaged due to impact in the box. The loco is to the same specification as the Minvera models, really good colour and transfer application, etched cabside number plates and no lose parts. The plan for this one is to work again it to represent the loco towards the end of its life just like the other two locos.
  13. How did you start off the process with the Pannier mate, that's what I'm a little worried about the first coat of paint... The difference between clean and weathered is remarkable !
  14. Thanks Dave, I couldn't quite make out the number from the picture.
  15. The fleet so far, next project is to finish off the three panniers then some more Brake vans, this time a grey version and some open wagons.
  16. My second wagon project has been the Dapol British Railways Standard freight box wagon.
  17. To accompany the Minvera 8750 locos, I found a bargain at Rails of Sheffield once the form of BR 8750 - 9759 which remarkablely kept is GWR tank side letters well into the mid 1960s! It’ll be interesting to compare the two makes of pannier, this loco will also be weathered to reflect its end of the line status.
