Our exhibition manager has decided to suddenly resign, I have been asked to help sort out the mess for the February exhibition. The paperwork we have is not conclusive and we don't know who has been invited other than the ones I will list. If anyone has had an invite could you please PM me and I will do my best to sort it out. After reading all this I am deeply appalled by what has happened and I can only sympathy at the moment. As an ex exhibition manager, burglary and vandalism was always at the back of my mind along with the usual problems. Nothing will ever replace the hard work put into building the layouts and rolling stock. I as a modeller will help in any way I possibly can. Also this brings me to the next time we take our layout to a show, this is next month. Will we have to take all the stock back to the digs and set up again the following day, if so it will be a mammoth task. Once again I pass on my deepest sympathy to all involved. Alan

Unfortunately Hobby Holidays has cancelled at the last minute due to health problems, Aspire gifts & hobbies are taking their place. Apart from that there is nothing else to write about other than there is only 8 Days to go. Alan

Soon be the weekend, too soon though with having to repair damage to Aisthorpe sustained at Spalding. Hope to have it all finished for this great show. Alan

Aisthorpe back at base with one or two problems that need to be solved. The John Brown Trophy was a surprise and an honour as I knew John and his partner and was gobsmacked when Aisthorpe won the award. All in all it was a great weekend thanks to Tom for all the effort he has put into making it a very good and enjoyable weekend. Alan and the Aisthorpe team.

We are again using the Lady Eastwood Pavilion, Newark Showground NG24 2NY for our 2019 exhibition. The dates are Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th February. The venue is easily accessible from the A1, A17, A46 and A617. There will be a free bus running between the showground and both Newark Northgate and Castle railway stations, check the website for times, www.ladmrc.co.uk We are having a good variety of layouts of most scales and gauges, traders, demonstrators and societies. Mr King, If you let the club know the details of your vehicle ie. make and model, colour and registration we will endevour to contact the police and have you escorted along the Lincoln by-pass, that is if it is grid-locked. Webbo

I agree totally with Phil, you really should rename this thread. I have the signal building copied, now it looks like I will be copying the yard lamp build for reference. Alan
