  1. Much appreciated Chris, thank you. I have been looking at Working Timetables on the usual auction site, but wasn't sure if the information they contained was what I was looking for. Now we shall see!
  2. Thanks for that. I'll see if I can match it up with any photos I have.
  3. For the period 1959-1965 does anyone have any photos or details of the Norwich Thorpe – Ipswich stopping service (including the twice daily DMU service), the Norwich to Stowmarket daily pick-up freight, or any other freight movements on the line?
  4. Ooooh, very nice. Any idea of the date? I think the goods shed went sometime between 1966 between August 1968.
  5. Yes, that makes sense. No other date shown. Based on the current evidence I have, 1958ish to 1985ish.
  6. Good point; built in redundancy. Should the counterweight mechanism become detached somehow from the disc axle, the disc bias will still do the job!
  7. Oooh, that would be luverly. Please don't put yourself out though, I'm certainly in no rush, we haven't moved to the new house with the loft begging for a layout yet! Thank you so much for your help.
  8. Superb Mick, thanks for the photos, including the first I've seen from dead straight on! I'm certainly interested in any scratch building info, or even the article if you have it and are able and willing to share it.
  9. Having studied several photographs of LNER Ground/Shunt Signals, am I correct in assuming that the disc does not pivot about it's centre, but instead considerably to the left of centre when facing the disc? Or is it a geared mechanism from the rear crank axle?
  10. If all the distances shown are from the signal box (I'm new to signal box diagrams), then 1755 yds.
  11. Very helpful, thank you. I'm not able to share the diagram, I've just purchased it from The Signalling Record Society.
