  1. Some time ago I saw a Card Great Eastern Water Tower kit advertised, Only now that I want one I can’t find it. Does anyone else recall this being advertised, and remember where? Thanks
  2. Apologies George, I have never seen level crossing gates that way round before. Look forward to seeing the layout. (shifts allowing). Cheers Scott
  3. Oh yes we have them in East Anglia. The if I drive at 40mph it will average out brigade..... As well as the ones that do 40mph in a 60mph and speed up when you try and overtake them.
  4. I think that this is one of the reasons that the standards of driving has taken a nose dive recent years. But there is also the fact that cars now do so much that people don’t have to think and switch off, as well as there being too many distractions in a car. Then we have mobile phones!!!! Then there is the complete lack of awareness of what going on around them and only seeing what’s at the end of the bonnet. The amount of people that don’t realise an emergency vehicle with blues and twos is behind them. Or even better when the cars in front of them pull over because they have seen it and they overtake the cars, then suddenly realise and stop in the middle of the road. What’s that all about!? Rant over.
  5. I have noticed around here that Taxi drivers go slow when they have a fare. But cant go fast enough when they dont....
  6. Hi George. Loving the layout. Nice to see East Anglia and one of its old lines so well represented. Great work on the buildings and scenery. It’s all coming together nicely. Some excellent scratch building too. Is the lineside hut by the gain store scratch built? The only thing I would say though (sorry me being picky) is that the level crossing gates are the wrong way round, the target/bullseye should be facing road traffic and the locking bolts should be on the inside. Still is an excellent layout!! Can’t wait to see more photos. Scott
  7. Can't wait to see this working..... Looking good so far... Scott
  8. Hi Guys, Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, but I work shifts and have not been able to get on here as much as I would like. Thank you for all your posts! It’s much appreciated. I have look through the photos briefly and they are exactly what I am looking for. I will have a more detailed look and keep you all posted on my progress. Thanks again. Scott
  9. Hi, I am currently working on some scratch built PAA hoppers to model the sand train that runs to Kings Lynn. But I do not know who would own the hoppers in 1992. Was it BIS (British Industrial Sand) or WBB Minerals. These must be the least photographed wagons ever! So if anyone knows your help would be greatly appreciated. Here are a couple of photos. I started to detail the first one and realised that it is slightly the wrong shape, but as I have made 7 shells I'm not going to waste them. The next 4 will be the correct shape. I have made them so that they sit on the base on an RMC PGA Hopper.
