  1. Got mine today, superb : DCC sound version, interior light brightness needed turning up (I thought they were broken), Whistles are a bit too loud so needed turning down, other than the chuffs no more CV tuning. Very impressed, only slight gripe is a very slight low level hum out of the speaker when nothing is switched on (except power to track) but as its never quiet in the loft not really an issue for me. Well done Kernow
  2. So why no pre shirtbutton livery? Their literature says these specific models were introduced in 1930, shirtbutton livery came along in 1934. ??
  3. I have been trying for months to contact Nelevation via phone, email and even tried their 'sister' company Origin Product Design, no one answering their phones or email either. I presume this is a dead product now and expect them to appear on Companies house closure notices soon. With a complete lack of response I will have to go via Small Claims Court to try and get my £500 deposit back. Such a shame as this was such a good idea for a product.
  4. Hi Dave, What decoder are these CV settings for? Do you have settings for different makes of decoder i.e. zimo? For example on Bachmann decoders CV53 - 55 are for motor compensation/BEMF whereas Zimo they are Speed steps for each of the 5 HLU speed limits.
  5. With all the lockdown i'm sure its put a spanner in the works for deliveries but has anyone heard of or had their Nelevator delivered this year? My last contact was May 2019 and I haven't heard anything since, no-one picks up their phone and haven't any responses to my emails, from the above they obviously reply to potential new customers via the website, what about answering their existing customers?? I ordered mine in October 2016 so it's been a while.......
  6. Just my two cents worth, I bought 3 of these (two early with twin flywheel and one later version with 'cheaper' drivetrain) they all run perfectly on DC although the 'cheaper' drivetrain version is noticeably less smoother. When going to DCC make sure you pull out the capacitor as mentioned by : http://www.youchoos.co.uk/Index-Resource.php?L1=Guides&Item=OO-OxfordDeanGoods All CV's were kept as default so no tweaking required, but capacitor did make a difference not just in the decoder mentioned above. Superb locos, will be buying the ROD version with WW1 gun it appears too....
  7. In a nutshell, superb body, crap chassis.
  8. Yes I suppose the 'want it now' impatience got the better of me, like you said, the thought of a decent RTR GWR steam railmotor in the not too distant past would've been laughable. Back to my 'impatient' corner
  9. That's not the point, no update, news or movement in how many years?? If Kernow don't have the money or expertise to expedite then say so, surely having good communication with your potential customers is vital nowadays especially people on a budget will allocate monies for products per year and without any news Kernow could lose out on potential sales.
  10. I've given up asking kernow at shows regarding updates to the Railmotor I just get a smile and a "still working on it" response. Maybe in a decade they might reply "we were working on it" Give it to someone else to do, it's taking forever....... or at least do what hattons did with the king and say we are no longer doing it, even Heljan gave the 'occasional' update on the night owl.
  11. At ally pally i asked someone at the Dapol stand (he seemed like the boss tbh) if they we going to do re-runs as i missed the twin cities version, his response was yes nearer the end of the year.
  12. I wonder when the 'Great Western' liveried version will be released.
  13. yes I was just looking to buy another H1401 (Great Western lettering) and saw they no longer have them in stock I hope this was not a one off production run???
