  1. Raiders of the lost autotrain? Tommy and the temple of Dean?
  2. Dave, I don't think I missed it. Can you please tell us the colours you used on the walls? Although my layout is freelance I'd like to get to something similar with my retaining walls. Thanks mate.
  3. Alan, how do you deploy subtle bits of static grass like around the bottom of the lamp but walls? I find the static machine a bit of a shock and awe tool rather than a precision instrument.
  4. Bargain from Bure Valley Models that may be of interest herein https://lm.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.burevalleymodels.com%2Fp%2F9830%2FHornby-R3383TTS---BR-Castle-5050-Earl-of-St-Germans-TTS-Sound

  6. Hi Andy. It does feel good that we have collectively done this as a community, but I think it's worth reflecting that the vehicle that enabled this to happen at all is RMWeb, and you take massive credit for that. Without the environment you created, this simply never could have happened. Well done mate
  7. Just to add my thanks to everyone involved. It's all been said eloquently already but I really have enjoyed not coming to Taunton and not seeing these great layouts and demos. I'm glad that the owners of the stay at home layouts were willing to demolish garages and enlarge doorways to get them to the show. I also discovered this rather nice garden behind the hall. Completely missed it last time.
  8. As luck would have it I was on Facebook this morning and the Hornby page had a reminder about this event. My next notification was an advertisement for this wonderful shirt. Wardrobe for tomorrow sorted
  9. Thanks Rod. It's a treat to see realistic operation and your layout runs like a dream.
  10. 2k technologies are brilliant. They also have their own website. No connection etc.. ..
  11. Well played Phil. I have learned over time to become completely useless at a wide variety of domestic tasks. It's a real talent
  12. When I broke my arm I asked the consultant if I would be able to play the piano after he operated. He said yes. He lied.
  13. Hi all. I have been the recipient of an act of kindness from Simon Castens at the Titfield Thunderbolt bookshop. With my order of a couple of new books he kindly sent an additional item - a small book on the Somersetshire Coal Canal by Roger Halse. In keeping with the spirit of his action I'm now happy to post this on to anyone who would like to read it next. Please PM me your address if you are interested, first come first served.
  14. That reminds me of Spike Milligan discovering the long lost Elarwi tribe who had never invented maps. They wandered around saying "We're the Elarwi, we're the Elarwi......"
