    The 'shield' plate is within the yellow box, it's possible to see through the gap between the rails and not see the spectacle, if you get what I mean :-)

     

    There is (was) a weight lever, the back of it can be seen within the orange box. It was not unknown though for it to be omitted from signals that were very close to the signal-box, where the length of signal wire run was so short as to render it irrelevant. The Up Starting at Padstow was one such example.

  2. Looks really nice, but...there may be one bit missing :-)

     

    Most SR UQ arms had the UQ equivalent of the L&SWR LQ 'Annetts shield' in the form of a rectangular plate fixed to the face of the post immediately behind the green spectacle. Not obvious in photos unless the arm is 'off' and not every signal seems to have had one. Given that this would not have been a signal approached at speed, maybe it was omitted  -  any good photos of the actual prototype?
