  1. Hi - no, they went for a ridiculous amount right at the end. I opted for the replacement new 3D print which I am about to fit.
  2. Thanks for such quick replies. Looks like the Ultrascale solution is the best option. Mainline locos seem to look really good but have such poor mechanisms, don't they? My Mainline 03 shunter has a horrible wheelset and the centre axle has just swelled up and fallen apart, but the body is so well detailed and finished (for the cheap price I paid). I can't see how to fix that unless the Dapol 04 kit plastic wheels will fit in there. All the new superdetailed models are so expensive, though.
  3. Hello, everyone. This is my first posting on the forum since I returned to the hobby after life got in the way for many years. I am building up my OO gauge stock in anticipation of a productive retirement and have recently acquired a Mainline Warship model for a very reasonable price. It looks new and is so much more detailed than the Lima/Hornby model, but runs with a distinctive clicking sound which - from what I have ascertained - denotes a split drive gear on one or both of the driven axles. What I would like to know, before I pull the model to bits, is can the split gear be repaired with glue and subsequent cleaning up in situ or is replacement with the Bachmann wheelset an option? Currently on Ebay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143548695049 Or is it possible to remove the split gear and drive is still possible using the other (possibly non-split) gear? Would this work? It's a shame to scrap an as new model for the sake of a poor drive train when it looks so good on track. I can't see any cheap Mainline spares anywhere online and would appreciate some advice that doesn't entail a large financial outlay. Regards Alastair
