Well, I'm Kev. I live in the northern part of Wiltshire. Born in Swindon, but fortunately I've never lived there!

I'm highly interested in railways, obviously, both in model and prototype form.

Modelling wise I stick to the GWR and BR Weston Region. I model in 4mm, OO gauge and in the last couple of years I've moved up to 7mm. In the scale of 1 to 1 I enjoy visits to the West Somerset Railway, the Swindon and Cricklade Railway and the Didcot Railway Centre.

Away from trains I've played the guitar since I was eleven. I'm particularly into goth and heavy metal music.

I also play cricket for a local team. Where I'm known more for my effort than ability. Although there's very little more pleasureably than hitting a big six into the trees, or the paddock, or the car park. When the weather is tolerable I mow the outfield of the cricket pitch and I try to muck in with the running of the club whenever I can. Anything from serving at the bar to scarifying the square.

I do a fair bit of reading. Usually something from the fantasy/horror worlds of Anne Rice, Laurell K Hamilton or Karen Chance. The original James Bond books by Ian Flemming. Plus biographies, history, archaeology and Victorian horror.

There's also nothing quite like a pint to real ale :-)
