  1. A great little loco, really nicely built. Is the late crest a HMRS transfer? Personallly I find the ones from Fox Transfers to have sharper detail.
  2. The fairburn looks great. All the best for your surgery Ken.
  3. One of my favourites, The Sisters of Mercy: Lucretia, My Reflection. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuezNswtRfo&feature=colike
  4. Unless you're Jon Lord of Deep Purple. A Hammond organ plugged into a Marshall stack, now that's a sound!
  5. Ah, I've got Love by The Cult in the car at the moment. It was very nice driving home in the sunny weather with Revolution turned up loud.
  6. Look out for bizarre weather conditions, I just tidied the workbench!

  7. It's looking great Ken. I know what you mean about Scorpio castings, but they look good in the end.
  8. Wychwod Snake's Bite is very nice indeed! :-)

  9. Cheers for the link Tim. The new album sounds very promising indeed. I'll have to keep an eye out for when it's released.
  10. Seconded. I only discovered Mostly Autumn last year and was very impressed.
  11. Hmmm, maybe I should take a look at that then. I own all the other Megadeth albums, but I got fed up with Dave Mustaine trying to make the band sound fashionable.
  12. Earlier this week I pried the new Fields Of The Nephilim live album out of the car stereo after nearly a month of swapping between the two disks. Must get around to watching the DVD. I'm now on an old favourite, AC/DC's Back In Black.
  13. Another great model there Castle. It really looks the part. Doesn't 5322 look great in black, she was still in ROD livery when I visited Didcot last year. Roll on Saturday!
  14. <p> Oh yes! The world is my spray booth. :-) The way the weather has been lately, it looks like I'll finish building my 58XX before we get some nice weather.
  15. That's a great series of posts there Castle. I know what you mean about getting models finished so quickly. A quick count reveals that quite shockingly I have 24 items of rolling stock in the finishing/weathering queue. In my defence several of those are waiting for the better weather when I can get the airbrush out.
  16. I used the same black etch primer for the chassis of the 58XX I'm currently building. It did the job brilliantly. I'm considering using it to paint the body when I finish it.
  17. That black 5 (along with everything else you build) is a fantastic piece of kit building. The quality of your work gives me a level to aim for in my own work. Please keep the inspiration comming!
  18. Livin' easy, Livin' free....

  19. Yeah, she's on Coast fairly regularly.
  20. Well I do believe that when she was on Time Team and had bright red or pink hair she actually was a student. Where as nowadays she's a Professor, serious academic, mother and is a TV presenter on the BBC not Channel 4. So she probably has to look more sophisticated.
  21. Yep, BBC4 Wednesday 11pm. Freeview+ box has been set.
  22. And it's next month. Which didn't register with me earlier. I'll put the date in the diary.
  23. Unfortunately I'll be at work on Thursday. I would have loved the chance to visit for such a fantastic event and for a very worthy cause too.
  24. The uniqueness is what's drawn me to the 56XX. It looks and smells GWR, but is really very different from the usual Swindon style. I hadn't notice the position of the lower middle lamp bracket, I guess they had to put it somewhere! I'm pretty well off for stuff to build at the moment, there's the 58XX I'm building at the moment, and I've also got two 6 wheel milk tankers, a MK1 BG and a MK1 BSK to build. There's a good chance I could do a 56XX in the future. 5900 is a Hall isn't it? I took that photo during my visit to Didcot last summer. Must try to get up there again to take some detail photo's of 4866 before I finish my 58XX.
