  1. The Silk Mill is currently closed until 2020 so it will be interesting to see if they have the model and City of Derby nameplate in the new display.
  2. The Silk Mill used to have a DTS coach on display too complete with a double (action) manned cab. See http://www.apt-p.com/APTModelDSM.htm Rob PS some pictures of the Mardyke 7 1/4 inch APT-P can be found on my site - http://www.apt-p.com/MardykeAPT.htm
  3. I recorded Kit's presentation on the Saturday and it can be seen / heard at the link below - "9 Degrees Rule OK" - APT Tilt Systems presented by Kit Spackman (Former Tilt System Development Engineer APT-E) https://youtu.be/vzlUVOJVVhM Copyright Kit Spackman © 2018
  4. You are right Kit, and the TBF should have a passenger door on it too on the side shown. Rob www.APT-P.com

  8. However I can only find a very basic drawing on this page: http://www.apt-p.com/APTConfigurations.htm If anyone knows anything about this could they please help. Any would be appreciated. See below scan from Tomorrows Train Today for a representation of the APT-S driving power vehicle http://www.apt-p.com/TTT21.htm I will look out a better scan for you if needed. (on my other PC) Rob www.APT-P.com
  9. More evidence that it is something to do with the allocation of seats comes from the fact that the sheet appears in the 'Boarding Pass Kiosk' in the BTF's Round Trip to Glasgow film. See still here - http://www.apt-p.com/APTPBoardingPass.htm I have attached it too as my website seems to be offline again :-( Rob
  10. Whilst on the subject of seating layouts here is something that has been puzzling me for a while now - what is the meaning of the colours of the seats in the diagram attached (first, second, smoking / non, facing etc I tried them all) Thanks in advance Rob
  11. It is a "WAITER POINT" Sorry the scan isn't too clear. Rob
  12. metric lengths of each coach can be found here - http://www.apt-p.com/APTPVehicleSpec.htm Rob
  13. Except that the power car won't be slotted into the existing set, due to lack of room and that it is going to be a 'walk through' exhibit so visitors can see what's inside, with perspex panels replacing the current metal covers.
  14. 3+2+2 was how the APT-P was originally preserved at CHC in 1988. Rob www.APT-P.com
  15. Just to remind you all that the new Ian Allan book "APT the untold story" is out in the UK today. Rob
