  1. I found the same, but it was only for topics I followed in the 'UK Prototype Discussions (not questions!)' thread, no real biggy, just an FYI
  2. I agree with the disappointment regarding the loss of photos from the last year, but what gets me is the criticism and grief that Andy and the rest have the team have had to endure from some people for something that was out of their control and the great job they've done in migrating RMWeb. I hope that majority of positive support on here outweighs some of the carp they've had to deal with. @AY Mod, I know this probably isn't in your 'domain' and probably doesn't really affect most of the users on here, but the World of Railways website still links to RMWeb with the /community link, Thanks Andy
  3. Hooray!!! No more cold turkey. Thanks very much Andy and the rest of the team, here's to a brighter future
  4. Mine had disappeared too, just needed a refresh of the browser
  5. Have to agree with Dave, I've used the same ones, they easily fit a OO gauge Mk1 coach, the one I use I think is meant for meat (bacon) as it has a removable raised grill that sits in the bottom, so all the paint sits on the bottom below the grill, Cheers Andy
  6. I think that's probably why they seem as rare as rocking horse do-doo, certainly they were also used as scarp paper based on the couple that I've seen
  7. Hi Simon, thanks very much for your help it's much appreciated, the ones I've got are from the early 60's, but as far as I can gather, they were either chucked or simply used as scrap paper. If you happen to stumble across any, please let me know, Thanks Andy
  8. Hi Simon, did you manage to speak to your colleague to see if he managed to salvage any of the station documentation, Cheers Andy
  9. Hi Andy, I seem to have lost the 'back to top' icon, using PC with win10, if this is to do with the tweaks you've been doing then I'll wait, otherwise I'll look further in to any PC issues, Thanks Andy
  10. Thanks very much Simon, that would be greatly appreciated, Cheers Andy
  11. Does anyone have any 'Passenger Train Working for Hull Paragon Station' please? I have a couple of these from the early 1960s, but I'm really looking for ones from 1965 to 1970. I believe these were simply photocopied documents handed out rather than officially bound publications, mainly due to them changing and being issued on a regular basis so I don't think they will be available at the NRM archive, when we can get back in, the NERA may have some but not too sure. Any information on these would be extremely useful Thanks Andy
  12. I use one of the Albion Alloys abrasive cleaning discs, not cheap but works well and lasts
  13. We're all OK thanks Mick, fingers crossed for May, I'm sure you'll remind us nearer the time
  14. Hi Mick, hope you're keeping well, you must have a shed load of new images to show off now with no January talks, take care, Cheers Andy
  15. Thanks Rob, I've already ordered mine direct from NERA as there were a couple of other bits I needed, Cheers Andy
  16. Hi Rob, how long did it take for the book to arrive under current restrictions, just wondering when I can expect mine, Cheers Andy
  17. Hi Fran, I personally think you've got it spot, I much prefer to know that once an announcement has been made, the model will be available within a shorter period of time. I also think that in the past, some manufacturers have acted a little like the animal kingdom and marked their territory, which have put other manufacturers off from developing a similar product. Once you've already had one of the major outlays in developing in a product, you're much more committed to producing it, whereas only stating an intention just leaves the option of pushing the delivery date further and further in to the future which doesn't reflect well on the company. Obviously there can be valid reasons why dates get pushed out, but at least they way you work, they don't get pushed as far, and not only that, but the fact you're much more open and communicate with your consumers is such a breath of fresh air. Keep up the great work, looking forward to an expensive 2021!! Cheers Andy
  18. Hi Jamie, I wish I had the space, glad to hear that you've found somewhere, good luck with the move, Cheers Andy
  19. The arcade is coming along well and looks either the bees or the dogs, take your pick. How's the house move coming along, you not been chucked out on the street yet? Quick question regarding the Class 124, specifically the TSL. I've decided to start my build, at least the easier bits first so the TSL it is. I'm looking for an interior photo if possible, I need to know if there were windows in the sliding doors between the compartments and also windows either side of the doors as in most DMUs. My thought is there would be windows in the doors but not either side, but I can't find any evidence, Cheers Andy
  20. I tried to contact Jim regarding the destination box and drivers steps, but got no reply. I noticed that he'd removed them from his 'Goodies' page, so I guessed he's stopped doing them. I tried using card for my Class 114 conversion, but wasn't really happy with the outcome, so they got removed. I'm now using Plastruct solid rectangular strips, provided you don't want to light the box, I think it looks much better. Once sorted, I'll be able to stick the destination on and then cover with clear plastic.
  21. Hi Jamie, speak to Gareth, I know when I got mine he didn't have any with 12mm wheels, but he had the 14mm ones, so swapped them over for me. Cheers Andy
  22. Hi Barry, quick question regarding your Trans-Pennine unit, I'm following a similar method to Jamie, using the Worsley etches. I've already got one of the Replica chassis, but do you think I need to get in touch with Gareth for a second one? At the moment I'm think of putting the chassis in the griddle car, but don't have any inclines so hopefully I can get away with just the one but thought I'd ask, Cheers Andy
  23. Hi Jamie, just a quick update with gluing my brass sides to plastic body for Class 114. I was originally using Gorilla 2-part epoxy glue, but it seemed to dry quite rubbery and was supposed to dry hard and sandable! I don't know if it was the glue or a lack of suitable clamps or my ineptitude, but I didn't do a very good job, fortunately it was easy to separate and clean-up the sides and body, twice!! I have just started again but this time using araldite and some more clamps, don't know if it's because I've had plenty of practice now, but it was such much simpler, went on a treat and I think because it was the 90min drying type, it looks so much better as you get longer to manipulate the sides, just making sure it doesn't slip before it dries, Cheers Andy
  24. Really enjoying the layouts so far, just watched Phil’s interview with Tim Dunn which I thought was really good and just shows how good a program can be when its done by someone with massive enthusiasm for the subject. I don't know if it was just me, but has Phil's lockdown haircut started to go full Mohican!!
  25. Hi Mick, Congratulations, hope you and the missus get to manage some sort of celebration with the rest of the family, you'll need a big garden!! Hopefully see you sometime later in the year, Cheers Andy
