  1. I've got the London Road Models etched version of the Dancehall, I don't hold out much hope for it, when I too, get aroundtuit.
  2. Good lad! You'll be building Queen Mary's from Jidenco kits in no time at all my babber
  3. Some bloke and his mates in green take a boat trip up a river to look for a mad (?) ex employee. It's hot, there's surfing and there's music by Wagner and Rasquin. Some geezer called Charlie keeps his feet dry.
  4. Top stuff indeed, you'll be sticking 'em together with your eyes shut in a day or two.
  5. Can't think of an all plastic solution but I think Cambrian do some etched brass tie bars?
  6. Especially the ones with birds on the cover... so most of 'em then
  7. but, but those wheels look newly painted, so surely there would be a trampled path to them from who ever wheeled them there after painting. Sorry, I'll get back to burning my fingers...
  8. My latest eBay find* includes the following item of significant historical interest. *It's been out of print for years with Livid Goose, @Captain Kernow, before you get all protective of that @Not Jeremy chap (with whom I currently have an order for even more train porn).
  9. That's a museum in a box! I have a couple of those earlier style of Roxey kits, but fear they'll just melt away if I get anywhere near them with a paintbrush loaded with solvent.
  10. The route of the problem is a deliberate and planned run down of youth services by this government, with massive cuts in funding to FE colleges over the years. Secondary education is a farce and those of us working in the FE sector are left to pick up the pieces (again due to the lack of decent basic funding!). Arresting kids will do nothing except disenfranchising them even further. Cheers, Dubs
  11. Yes, I need to get some really fine sand paper anyway, so will polish them up. Doh!, why didn't I think of that in the first place Cheers
  12. Yes, they're in with these along with those I got from C&L. Which has got me wondering if Mr C&L might like to stock the flat check rail gauges?
  13. My existing check rail gauges were bought for OO-SF, 2 x long in steel and 2 x brass squares. I got them years ago from a guy called Russ Simpson in the US along with my original roller gauges. Unfortunately the steel pair are rather pitted due to my liberal use of flux, so I'm looking to replace them. The EMGS have the longer steel one for a fiver but as mentioned above a set of feeler gauges will be ideal. Cheers
  14. I thought you might, I did for literally years !
  15. Funny, we only tend to see Bullfinches this time of year. Although I haven't seen any yet.
  16. Have a look at the second post in this link from Martin on the Templot Forum (I highly recommend you join up if you haven't already, it's free). It's shows where to bend your rail before filing. https://85a.co.uk/forum/view_topic.php?id=359&forum_id=1 Cheers, Dubs
