  1. Really?? I seem to recall something around this from eons ago but acc to my notes it closed off for non-response. Can you msg me?
  2. Loving the backscene as well as the rolling stock. If it helps, when you come to do a similar project then the "complete loco pack with your choice of number" series will save you having to cobble bits together. For example here's the pack for a 44/45/46: https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=2247 Similar packs for other classes/liveries here: https://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?type=5&gauge=4mm&theme=11
  3. 4mm-2029 https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=2672 £2.90 a set.
  4. In an ideal world where resource is infinite then yes I would love to. But the reality is that in order for Railtec to continue doing what it does, setting more time aside beyond the monstrous amount of time it already takes to carefully design each unique TOPS panel to laboriously list what livery each wagon carried at a specific point in time (and they would evolve, let's not forget) would potentially be hugely time consuming = fewer new releases = higher costs for everyone so the business can continue to stand on its own two feet. In the case of the MEA packs as your example (c.f. 4mm-6072), I believe they're all in EWS colours as they have the accompanying EWS branding. And in some cases photographic evidence may not even exist anyway so there would inevitably be gaps in the info I'd be able to provide. I generally find Flickr to be the go-to resource (for me at least) when searching on a specific wagon number.
  5. I can't immediately recall which item number you used. Was it 9970 in the list below? https://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?search_str=9970
  6. These LT reporting numbers would fall under the remit of custom made smokebox plates: 4mm-9080 https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=4363
  7. Several long established options below if it helps? https://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?search_str=chalk One such example:
  8. Just to close off the thread, these are now available for everyone in 7mm: 7mm-6951 Tope pack A https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=11278 7mm-6952 Tope pack B https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=11277 7mm-7521 Barbel pack A https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=11281 7mm-7522 Barbel pack B https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=11280 7mm-7523 Barbel pack C https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=11279 Does this help?
  9. Couple of links which may help: https://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?search_str=whiskers&gauge=4mm https://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?search_str=siphon&gauge=4mm https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=4534 The catalog has 10000+ line items, growing by about 400 new products a year, and there are plenty of threads right here on RMWeb and further afield around the web which showcase the results. Right, back to R&Ding...
  10. I think I saw a request come in via email (may or may not have been from yourself) but thanks to the mother of all backlogs for requests to help with projects I simply haven't been able to respond to it yet. I do this pack in 4mm for Tope. Would this suit in 7mm? 4mm-6951 https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=1872 I do this pack in 4mm for Barbel. Would this suit in 7mm? 4mm-7521 https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=10636 As you can see, I make the data panels all different, like the real things. Even the maintenance charts. I'm not sure if anyone else is mad enough to go to that level of detail with design, but when I would catch a brief glimpse of whatever layout would be between the Railtec stand and the loo at Warley, it would irk me to see that more often than not the wagons would all look the same.
  11. I'm wondering if one of the existing customisable offerings below might be a good fit? https://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?search_str=complete+steam+loco&gauge=4mm Everything you need for the loco (with exception of lining), incl your choice of ready-made number (either standard BR or 3d cabside plate), 3d smokebox (or bufferbeam number), 3d shed code, totem facing left and/or right and power classification all in the one pack. Spot printed so no superfluous carrier film, saves you having to line up individual digits and perfect print/colour registration.
  12. You're welcome. Recreating the minutest details of railway markings is all I do all day every day, so it's nice when it's noticed! A keen eye and an unhealthy amount of reference material is an essential piece of kit.
  13. Let me take a look through the inbox. It's constantly teetering either side of being full due to receiving a huge number of attachments on a daily basis, and trying to keep it beneath the limit so it can continue to send and receive is a bit like painting the Forth Bridge, as we would say when I was growing up (though I believe it may be different now). It's worth keeping in mind of course that there can be a significant difference in quality (and cost) when shopping around. Transfers which are printed on a home desktop Alps printer for example will likely need cutting very close to the print in order to minimise the amount of superfluous carrier film which covers the entire sheet. They're also limited in colours and on larger transfers the join lines in the print can be seen where each colour ribbon has jumped down to the next "row" (it's approx every 10mm), all the more noticeable on multi-colour. At Railtec the aim is to offer the best of both worlds: the technology costs the same as a small house so has the professional top end quality compared to an Alps printer which you could carry down the stairs under one arm, but I also try to be realistic when it comes to cost. I don't recall there being a single quote refused in all the years, which means I should probably up the prices! @Citadel if I can't locate the email then I'll PM you here.
  14. You're welcome. I can't tell which (if any, some or all?) of those rivets on the wagon are mine!
  15. Hm, hang fire. I need to check how many would fit on one of the typical custom sheets. The plan is to create a parallel custom offering, as it just makes everything cleaner and my life simpler. Typically if something is knowingly ordered as a placeholder for something else which isn't advertised (which I try to discourage as most livery elements aren't inter-changeable particularly from a design perspective, even though it may appear logically similar) then it can often slow everything down. I have a few new GWR items to put live and this will be amongst them.
  16. Doesn't each one of those Masterclub bolts have to be applied individually? (And aren't they made in Russia so potential supply challenges?) That wagon does look good and hats off for having the patience to apply all those one at a time, assuming that's what you did. Must have taken some considerable time.
  17. When I get a sec to create new items for them on the web site 😁
  18. Ok I've just had literally a spare moment waiting for the tea to brew so thought I'd try to help. I've just imported your photo into graphics software. On the assumption that those planks where the numbers sit are standard 6" planks, then by my reckoning those rivets or bolts are 0.5" (0.292mm) diam, which will put you along the 7mm-9203 / 9213 / 9223 / 9233 row in the table below, those various options depending on what spacing you need: https://www.railtec-models.com/rivets.php?type=7mmr You may want to sanity check this though, as importing photos of models isn't necessarily always accurate. Hope it helps though.
  19. As well as the existing range of 200+ packs of ready-made/spaced rivets, I've already prototyped nuts/bolts. I started with hexagonals as if that was ok then square nuts would be a doddle. These are tiny as you can tell by the laptop keyboard in the same shot for comparison, and the photo is taken from a pretty average phone, but you can see the results: When I get a moment the entire range of 3d rivets will be replicated in hexag nuts/bolts as above. I.e. so you will get strips and strips of ready-made nuts/bolts that are perfectly spaced, crisp and uniform that will enable you to apply to whatever you like in seconds. If there's a need for me to replicate with square nuts/bolts then I can do that too. @Hal Nail is it the hexags you're looking for or rivets?
  20. There are multiple options of different head diameters and spacings, perhaps even more than what modellers actually need. (I'm not sure how many modellers would distinguish the difference between 1⅛ head diam and 1¼ head diam for example, particularly in 4mm or even 7mm scales). I think the 3d rivet catalog now has over 200 items in it, so it should cover most needs. https://www.railtec-transfers.com/rivets/ As they're 3d waterslide you just cut off what you need and apply to whatever you're putting it on. That way you get dozens and dozens of perfectly spaced and uniform rivets in a matter of seconds without any hassle.
  21. Indeed! Railtec: https://www.railtec-transfers.com/rivets/ (And they're made right here in Derbyshire). I think it may have been Hornby Magazine which said they thought the quality is better than Archers. There must be a couple of hundred sheets in the range now. The rivets are made in white purely because that's the easiest colour to assume whatever top colour you like. Many modellers simply cut off what they need, apply it to the model and paint/spray. OR, if the model is already painted, cut off what they need, spray that, then apply it to the model. Because of the way these are made, each rivet is perfectly consistent with consistent spacing, saving modellers time and a lot of tedious hassle compared to some techniques I've seen. Given the enormity of the range there should be enough spread to get most modellers out of most holes. Steve
  22. Fruit Ds are long overdue in more than one period. They will appear. Many topics get logically grouped together, and as with anything that gets released, I don't just quickly bang packs out in a "it's probably close enough so the masses will be grateful just to have something" fashion, but I only release new product once I think it's bullet proof and I'd be happy to have it on my own models. That on the assumption that I get to have a layout of my own. Which, one day, I'm sure I'll get the chance!
  23. If you look at the theme of "Chevrons" on the page below, does one of these suit? https://www.railtec-models.com/themes.php Obviously when it comes to chevrons what's listed as a 4mm pack may give you what you need in another scale, and vice versa.
  24. Really? I'm confused. I developed pack 4mm-3025 a few weeks ago based on the exact specific elements that you'd asked to see in a pack so as to avoid the need to have to buy 2 or more existing packs, or going down the custom route (which would have been more expensive). Diverting a very finite and niche resource to develop a new pack consisting of elements which may already be present across other packs is a concept I'm always at least open to as I like to try to help people get what they need and save them a few £, (a) because I enjoy trying to be helpful and (b) the appreciation that usually presents itself in return gives me a buzz. I'd simply asked if the pack you'd specifically asked me to make was now not quite right (and gave a link to another existing stock item which consists of 2" red lining which is what you'd asked for). So, yeah, a bit perplexed to be reading the above. Interesting to see the Micro-Buffet. Maybe one for another day.
  25. If it's literally just the Cargo lettering you need in white then this would be a 3 minute job. PM sent.
