  3. Having tennis elbow in both elbows is not conducive to good modelling, come to think of it, it's not that good for bad modelling either.

  4. Well today did not go to plan did it?

I was preparing lunch prior to taking the wife to hospital for three appointments and a minor procedure when I heard a bang outside, Oh no, it was the coalman who had just ran into the back of my car damaging the tailgate and wiping out the rear lights, cue mad panic to get things sorted. All appointments made and initial repairs to lights tomorrow. Worst thing is I was taking the car in next week to exchange for a new one.

OUCH! But at least you made all your wife's appointments

  5. Oh dear! When trying to do some modelling this morning I dropped a 500ml tin of gloss varnish on my station building and platform. Did I; a) Swear but stay calm & plan a recovery action. b). Swear profusely and bin the dripping model in a fit of anger. c) Burst into tears, leave the shed, slam the door and say "S*d this modelling lark."

There are things you can do very naturally that does not involve nudity and will ensure you will not be invited again! As the song says "The answer my friend is blowing in the wind".

  7. Apparently we have a gunman holed up in his house just around the corner. I thought nothing ever happened in this village, just shows how wrong you can be.

  19. Ordered a new soldering iron as my 36 year old 'Litesold' finally died.

  20. just been to a local book sale and picked up 40+ railway books for £16.50. Bargain or what? One very happy bunny here:-)))

    1. The Stationmaster

      The Stationmaster

It's definitely the way to buy books - only problem is all the 'bulk' book lots I see at auction (and there are plenty about) usually don't contain anything I want. But if you're just starting a library it's ideal.

These were all priced at 50p or less if you had a bagfull. Best buy of the day an 1875 edition of the jubilee memorial of the Stockton & Darlington Railway. I got plenty of reference books for less than 50p including RCTS and OPC ones.
