  1. A proper old car, one I've always wanted and one I rarely see. The MG outside the "Vine" pub in Wimborne and the Humber at a social club I frequent. Would love the MG but I'm afraid late middle age derriere expansion and lack of funds prevent!
  2. Now here's a proper OLD car, family popped out for a pub lunch @ The White Hart in Bridestowe we were on our way to Cornwall, nice Sunbeam we followed it for a few miles when they left, running really nicely.
  3. Unfortunately the railway has been removed but the pubs are still there, West Moors in Dorset had "The Railway" (now the "Tap & Railway") right outside the station and in Verwood "The Albion" was in the station yard!
  4. At the Garden centre the other day, looked very tidy and original!
  5. This little beauty was parked up while it's owner was having his jab and I was on the pitch and put course!
  6. 2 favourites of mine, as you say Gold just right in the summer and Squirrel for cooler weather
  7. Spotted at a local vaccination centre last week, with a couple of mates we used to have a tipper version for our Landscaping business.
  8. Thanks C126 that sounds right up my street I'll give it a try.
  9. My idea of a good curry is one with a bit of warmth (Madras strength) with loads of flavour, so hot you cant taste the flavours is a no no!. Until recently I used to spend 5 weeks every winter in Goa (good place if you like a drink, permit rooms are a bit characterless) My pal who used to winter out there would have sorted out all the best places, as used by the locals. One trip we went to Mysore and into this "Kwality Bar" (we had to teach them how to keep the beer and to keep enough in for us!) my pals wife suggested we try this dish with a name like a Welsh railway station! well we all took a mouthful and looked at each other as it was so bland and then looks of delight appeared as a wonderful array of flavours came bursting through! I shall follow this thread with interest as although we don't cook many curries at home, (we like different ones), We do have a very good cook book that we use when entertaining, so that we can put several dishes on the table. I look forward to seeing what the curry addicts have to say. At one time I couldn't live without 3 curries a week. Oh and for eat ins my first go to is a Dhansak! To finish you wouldn't believe the wonderful food that comes out of this kitchen, Health & Safety would have a nightmare but when you watch them cooking over what looks like a Concorde afterburner the bugs ain't going to survive!
  10. On the lookout for lunch? the pigeons seem to have disappeared!
  11. Just got downstairs with my camera and one of the juveniles turned up
  12. We've had a pair of Bullfinches on our feeders recently that came from the hedge and then yesterday this a pair of juveniles, rubbish shot with my phone through the kitchen window, will try and get a better pic later,
  13. Percy Daltons, that brings back memories, back in the late 50's my Dad used to take me to watch Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the terraces were littered with the shells from P D's nuts!
