  1. Trevor That is absolutely perfect - many, many thanks. I would never have worked all that out without damaging something! Seems a lot of trouble to change the couplings but needs must! Davey
  2. I intend to put Flippem couplings on the loco. I contacted Ixion but nobody there could remember what to do. I am converting my wagons first whilst trying to gather both the information and the courage to dismantle what has been a fine running locomotive since I bought it just after first release. I did fit it with a sound decoder and speaker but that was a long time ago and I followed the instructions from a magazine. Davey
  3. I would like to fit different couplers to my Ixion Hudswell Clarke. Can anyone shed some light on how to remove the body to allow access to the couplers please? I know how to take the tank off for decoder fitting, but don't want to go bashing the body bits about without some ideas about a strategy! Thanks Davey
  4. I've had a 22w version for a few months and have cut sleepers for 7mm O-MF as designed in templot. The pictures show the quality I achieved. These were cut from 3mm plywood.
  5. On the Welsh coast this afternoon.

All that swimming makes a girl tired!
  7. Well done Steve! After the Lord Mayor's Show for me this year. I'll have to sign Big Sam for next season 😀 Davey
  8. You could cut the connector off the controller end, strip the wires and connect to a source of your choice - through an appropriate switch of course. I did that to connect the Kato points to accessory decoders. Davey
  9. And I use the Signalist SC1 with the NCE PowerPro kit - works beautifully. Another advantage is that the signals can be common anode or common cathode (or a mixture of both).
  10. Her kind of Xmas! Merry Xmas everyone.
  11. An old thread I know but thought you may like to know the Kytes Lights products are back on sale. I ordered some over this last weekend and was told on Monday morning that they had been posted. Arrived this morning - Wednesday. Excellent service by Kytes and well-done RM, from the IoW to Staffordshire in two days despite all the current disruptions. Davey
  12. Good service is still possible though! Ordered electronic components from Digi-key in the USA on Tuesday evening and they are out for delivery with UPS as I type this less than 3 days later! Free postage too.
  13. This is what Rmweb looks like on my iPad this morning without an ad blocker.
  14. I found with my 9152 variant that 12v dc was sometimes not enough “umph” to get the turntable operating correctly. This was particularly noticeable if running through a turntable decoder which presumably consumes some of the power to do its own thing! Upgrading the supply to, in my case, 15v DC was sufficient to get the turntable working properly again - starting correctly and moving smoothly past each unwanted turntable exit. The TTDec can handle up to 24v DC according to the instructions, perhaps increasing the power will help in your case too? Davey
