  1. Sorry for the very late response, but thanks anyway for your suggestion. I did contact Hornby and Airfix, on the same day I did the original posting, via their enquiry page. Haven't heard anything back as yet. Did you take a gander at the programme?
  2. Dear fellow modellers, Having just watch a thoroughly absorbing and informative programme hosted on a model company's youtube site by one of HH's Airfix designers, Pramjit, I am taken to suggest that it would be absolutely superb if Hornby were able to do a similar series of from conception to delivery 'insights'. The programme is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABjwCUlBih8 I know it is dealing with the Airfix side of the HH consortium, but if H could do similar on their Youtube site it could be an equally valuable, enjoyable and informative programme for us all. Many of the points covered in this were relevant to how H go about choosing, designing, tooling and delivering one of their models and provide some food for thought for us all to consider. I would be very interested to hear some other readers thoughts. Linz
  3. Interesting. Just wondering, if as you say the MK1 did not enter traffic in BR green till '63, do you know when the Maunsell stock were repainted into green? Cheers, Linz
  4. I notice they haven't fitted them either (or lost them) in their promotional photo in the today's edition of Engine Shed. Come on people, get a grip!. Still, it was a cracking read, especially the correspondence about Triang's arranging the viewing of the Evening Star at Brighton.
  5. I hope it comes with the smokebox darts supplied and fixed...hehe
  6. I have just been watching the latest Hornby Signal Box episode on YT and throughly enjoyed it. As I watched the segment with Simon Kohler (timestamp 8:00 mins onwards) my eye wandered to the display case behind him and up on the top shelf am not sure what I saw. In a case full of presumably Hornby past and present memorabilia is that a mounted and cased presentation model of Stephenson's Locomotion No1 or am I mistaken?
