  1. Excellent article with useful tips - thank you for posting.
  2. Just caught with this thread - learning to use Inkscape so that I might be able to prepare artwork for metal etching. Thank you Mike for all your very helpful posts.
  3. This is insanely realistic! Lost for words...
  4. Martin, I am lost for superlatives
  5. Thanks Martin. I intend to post a link to this thread in the Narrow Gauge Railway Modelling Online forum because they deserve to see your work
  6. Hi Martin - Am I right in thinking your layout is 0n30?
  7. Okay Paul, I will sleep on that - thanks again for the feedback: all very useful!
  8. Thank you Paul. I am 'customising' a resin/plastic model of a continental diesel - adding things like an etched exhaust grill, phosphor bronze handrails, white metal cast horns and tanks, etc. My biggest concern is making these little things stay put - so that they do not fall off at the slightest knock. I was going to use super-glue, but I am starting to think that epoxy might be better. I used to associate epoxy with heavier, bigger tasks - but your post regarding the styrene balance weights made me think again. Much obliged!
  9. Paul, if I may ask - what brand of epoxy do you use for this particular task?
  10. Paul - I have been following this thread (silently) for a while now, and it is time I thanked you for all the postings: very interesting, and informative! Harry
