  1. Loving the heather round the Thurso branch. Is this the work of that Spike chap and was it done in the same way as the gorse? Disgusting of Market Harborough
  2. So there I was, thumbing my way through BRM and I thought 'Can it get any worse than this'...........then I turned the page and saw the beaming countenance of young Chris......... Seriously though, good article mate. Disgusting of Market Harborough
  3. If thats untidy, I'd love to see your idea of tidy mate! Great work all round! Disgusting of Market Harborough
  4. Did anything move on BGP? Every time i've seen it, its been a somewhat magnificently modelled diorama! Including one of its last showings at Taunton many moons ago when I was opposite with 'Jubilee Sidings', I had more than one person come over and say that it was good to see something moving which, bearing in mind what my layouts are like, I found a bit ironic!! Disgusting of Market Harborough
  5. Sounds like a plan WB. anything that moves, hit it. And if it doesn't move, hit it till it does! Positive actions for a better Britain!!🤣 Disgusting of Market Harborough
  6. I too have a cunning plan based on the MSLR might have been lines too. They did have an enormous bun struggle at Westerfield and stuck some pegs in the ground ready to start on the Westerfield- Kenton section.......and thats about as far as they got at the bottom end in terms of actual construction. I'm going to imagine that they did get part of the bottom section build as far as a hamlet between Ashbocking and Otley. It managed to keep going till the early 60s with the usual coal and agricultural stuff and also an imaginary MOD establishment of some sort nearby, which was the basic premise for the line not closing sooner. Some of Ipswich's fleet of small shunters will be responsible for working the line (weight restrictions and all that) and I'm mulling over doing it in P4 and entering it into the scalefour soc comp too... Ladles and jellyspoons, I give you Gibraltar Heath........ I also believe that Sheep cove on one of the other threads is taking an unhealthy interest in the MSLR too....... TTFN Disgusting of Market Harborough PS as someone who built and indeed exhibited such a mundane location as Tudwick Road Siding, I've also cast a somewhat interested eye over Laxfield Mill too!
  7. On the subject of the Mid Suffolk Railway (which we werent) and DLIs literary teasings, can I move very slightly north in a couple of cases and chuck these literararary gems at you The unfinished lines is especially interesting viz a viz the Middy and its intended empire. Boy , did they have big ideas! I've pinched a potential 'might have been' layout from it!! Might be of interest to you for 'future reference'........... You're welcome Disgusting of Market Harborough
  8. This nonsense may be of interest to you. Similar principle to Steves parcel thingy........ Disgusting of Market Harborough
  9. I like the helicopter view of Top Yard. Not so sure about Bills hairy legs though! Disgusting of Market Harborough
  10. Oh, and the train set is 3ft 9inches long , without the fiddle yard extension......which is another 9 inches....... Disgusting of Market Harborough
  11. There you go Mr Loaf, Templegate Wagon Works before bits started to drop off it!! Some of Steve Farmers wagons and Nick Gurneys shunter, so all your likes in one hit (Photo not taken this weekend, I haven't borrowed any stock.......yet!) Also good to have a conv with the Sheep chap too, bless him! Disgusting of Market Harborough PS thanks for the kind words!
  12. Aw shucks!!!! Looking forward to seeing RS in the flesh Steve. Steve Farmers bringing Hillport Goods too so there'll be some good stuff there........I'm bringing Top Yard too, just in case people get over excited about the standard of layouts being too high! 15. Are you sure Stu? I can't tell whether 6309 is blue or green. He should stick to tram-driving!! 🤣 .................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... seriously though mate, always a pleasure to have a rummage around with a few wagons on here! Does this mean you're going to have a bang at something in EM next time around Chris? Disgusting of Market Harborough
  16. Well, I've just had a shufty at Callums video clip and all looks fine and dandy on Ewe rob, apart from one thing.......whats that gurt big khaki cowcatcher sticking out of the cowcatcher on the J70? It does look a mite .....erm....obtrusive..... Yours in sport Disgusting of Market Harborough
  17. Very good Callum, with some very good editing too!! Disgusting of Market Harborough
  18. Just as an aside to all this. I'm assuming that milk is going out of the creamery, therefore would there possibly be a dedicated service for this, Depending on its desination (usually London I would guess) it could be that it starts from your station and collects other portions en route. Empties would be bought in by one of the regular freight trains ( although more than one a day seems a tad excessive!). Would save a lot of faff with auto coaches... Just a thought Disgusting of Market Harborough
  19. Well, I did offer to lend you a hammer yesterday, in case of emergency..... The offer still stands, Disgusting of Market Harborough
  20. I also see that your 2023 World Tour of Buckinghamshire will be taking in Olney in early September Alan.......Looking forward greatly to seeing Wilne Lane in the flesh there.. (I will be the one deserting my layout to salivate over yours all day!!) Disgusting of Market Harborough
  21. Wilne Lane has got to be worth a look for 4quid alone in my book.....Looking forward to a day of tea supping, a modicum of cake consumption (got to watch the figure) and talking nonsense. Oh and playing trains too. Looks a sparkling line up this year Malc (apart from that EM gauge tat!!!!!!!) Disgusting of Market Harborough
  22. Hate to put a damper on your day Rob.........but you're next to us!! At least Cath is easy on the eye!! Disgusting of Market Harborough
  23. Top Yard isn't quite ready but we're bringing it along anyway! Disgusting of Market Harborough
