  1. No a couple of staions up, with the big yard. Could do with a reasnable map, but do not know where to look.
  2. I want to build a permanent way depot, basically copy Newland, but a lot smaller, say half length and less roads. Also move it nearer the Lickey route. Details and photographs are very difficult to find. All I have is a track plan, the loco, the crane, and a lot of PWay wagons. Always best to copy real designs, than make them up.
  3. I am trying to find decent track plans. Any ideas where is best, I have the signal box one.
  4. It has come out well, a good layout EMU. Need a 4COR to go with it now. Shows what can be done to an MTK kit with a bit of thought and planning, nearly said time!!!! Look sgood,
  5. Those 5 planks are a complete minefield as you probably know. I am just going to put a clasp under frame under a new Parkside 5 plank.
  6. I have to do some sidings with awkwards points, and originally planning on peco bullhead. But this looks good, i am slightly tempted by fdm just for brake gear due to shattering resin.
  7. Would be oo and i only have a mars 2 pro Was looking originally at solder kits
  8. Just found this, I do have a resin printer, so thinking of giving it a go. ABS resin seems to be popular.
  9. Just had 2 meetings. 1 person in north midlands, 1 about 1/2 mile away. Previous was 1 at work and me. I am in my dining room, on an office chair, having a 5 min break while I try to work something out.
  10. My 31s are Triang and Airfix. 47s a right mix. But 4 Lima ones. One 50 is stretched bogies. Western is ok. Nothing BRCW yet. Most of my Bachmann locos were when around £40.
  11. Taking a boy*, he models Warhammer 40000, quite excited to see a model railway exhibition, will be trying to get there early Sunday. * mid 20s.
  12. Had in last 12 months 4 eye tests, 2 operations, many visits, on multiple eye drops, more checks to come, waiting on todays oct scan results. May need 3 more ops. Just don't know. And floaters
  13. And of the some who commented, i expect are from a good place, not getting critical .
  14. Yes they do, and compete against modellers, need 47s, get 4 or 5 Lima for the price of a Bachmann. They look like 47s even though moulded handrails and the like. But a bit of work, flushglaze, respray, nice transfers, they look fine infront of a passenger train at speed. The 31 is liked as well, tends to be a good rehome for Hornby mazak rot drivechains. I would recommend Ebaying if they know ebay. I go for the tatty rather than mint in box.
  15. First proper bit of modelling since i think late November. Fitted the footsteps to 41900. Got a magnifier for some tasks now, but now getting dull, time to finish. Great day today, sunny, got my new distance glasses, best i have seen right eyed for a few years. Left is all over the place, from good, to hardly usable. At least focus is ok. Still getting headlamp starbursts so that was not fully cataracts. Will find out more end of March, if i need to re referred.
  16. Values are totally random, ebay is probably best place to sell. I buy them as they are cheap, look ok, and respond well to modification. If a collector is after a certain model they will go high. The poorer models, 50, Deltic may make a tenner, a limited edition 47 or 37, could make over £50.
  17. Now would you rather i gave money to petrol companies, takeaway shops, or say Wizard, high level, peco, lrm? Tesco filling stations loss, is a model railway manufacturers gain.
  18. Electric pc was on anyway, so very little extra, 70 to 80 min less time due to no commute Better mentally and over 200 quid a month less fuel.
  19. Modern RTR is starting to annoy me a bit. Looks good, but getting fragile, also constantly doing new better. Mazak rot. That said my main RTR purchases ate Diesel locos. But i am enjoying building a few kits. I do have some end games though.
