Probably more a case of the Chinese factory using the wrong tooling - its happened before.

My twin tuner digi-recoder has two aerial inputs and two aerial outputs, with one of the outputs connected by a special connector to one of the inputs. It only needs one aerial lead in and the output cam be connected to the tv so no splitting of the signal is neccessary. In practise the digi-recorder is only used rarely as i mainly record off Freesat, and as a result I split the signal to go to the main tv and other sets as well as one split to the digi-recorder which is normally switched off as it is very noisy even in stand-by - hint avoid Thomson PVRs.

To minimise signal loss resulting from splitters its best to use the higher quality ones sold with F-plug connectors (as used on satellite boxes) rather than co-axial one. Its easy enough to fit an F-plug to a length of tv aerial cable - they just screw onto it far simpler than a co-axial plug. Also make certain your aerial cables are good quality ones suitable for digital signals (these are thicker than those sold for analogue aerial leads) - not neccessarily expensive, paid £1 a metre recently. If you split your signal using a 2/4/6/8 way signal booster that can cause problems as it can overboost the signal which and the digibox will simply reject too strong channels - if you do need one its best to use one that has variable gain.

Anyone who has bought a limited edition model to sell on ebay is going to need to sell it for at least around 20% more than they paid for it to simply cover the orignal cost and ebay and paypal fees. That is not profiteering.

A case of stripping out the existing wiring and hard wire decoders in place then. As anyone actually maanged to find confirmation that it is a Hattons commission ?

Sound like the same error as they did in N gauge where they used finescale back to backs on the B sets and Siphons

Hopefully these OO locos will not be troubled but have noticed a few recent postings on the Yahoo N gauge pages of the Dapol N locos having motors that run very hot to the extent of one B1 having suffered slight melting to its body.

Just a thought Chris but given the mags general advice on many models including the N Dapol Halls to buy from a shop that will test run it, should not Kernow be test running them before despatch.

If I am buying local the last thing I would use is Paypal - the seller is far happier with cash as they do not have to pay Paypals fee and anyone insisting on Paypal for a collected item probably needs ignoring. I do make a point of collecting from the sellers home and everyone I have enountered has been happy to demonstrate the item or give contact details (even their work place) should problems arise.

The ebay address ends bar the last three characters with bad which is an apt description for this price on a Premium City of Truro from a seller in York who is using the NRMs photo and it is still in stock at the NRM 40 quid cheaper.

Could have had the item sent to a relative in the UK - that happened with an item I sold to someone in Spain, I was asked to post it to an address in Wales.

Thats because Central Government has required them to include policies in their latest local plan document on achieving sustainable development and those who have adopted such a document then have to comply with it. Its just another example of Central Government using one arm or another of Local Goverment to get what it whats with the blame (by developers and architects in this instance) going on Local Goverment and in this instance the planners.

Thats more simply being a good neighbour - the legislation is as I pointed out and if they were so minded they could plonk a 50m mast straight outside someones back door and no one could do anything about it.

Network Rail do not need planning permission for the GSMR masts so the extend of designs will be very limited compared to mobile phone masts and most likely just variations in height - this is the legislation that NR benefit from.
