  1. Um.. new chassis and body errors corrected (overlarge splashers). Might be simply to start anew.
  2. I emailed Hornby re the eras and today got a response which I followed up re the cab on "GWR D1", to which they asked for a photo - fllick link sent. Maybe they will change the descriptions and cab as applicable..
  3. I've done that - unless someone manages to find a glue that strongly welds the two together then IME the joint needs strengthening - I use a small nut and bolt. HAs the advantage compatred to the alternatives of not having to carry out any physical work on the coach. On wagons there is usually the simple of option of sliding the NEM box out of its mount the required amount, adding some padding between the box and chassis if desired to retain the height.
  4. Thats a DCC Sound fitted one 31-368DS
  5. Have been non sound fitted ones 31-362 03066 31-362A 03045 31-363 03162 31-365 03170 - one currently on ebay 31-368 03026 - one currently on ebay
  6. I did try Prime for a month; nothing arrived any faster and one order was cancelled by them. Always take care to avoid it now,.
  7. A further alternative is to use these on the coaches https://mademe.co.uk/product/Bachmann-oo-mk1-mk2-nem-pockets-14x-stepped-coupling-fix/
  8. It not the number more the TOPS code in it which they have as ZXP while Rapidos has ZXO https://rapidotrains.co.uk/product/loriot-y-machinery-truck-no-dw41990/
  9. The PCB regulates to 5 volt and the relays have 5 volt coils. I had connected a variable PSU which I supplied 12v to the PCB. Flip your right, I thought the original was a latching relay. I'll dig out a normal one.
  10. Heres a photo of the cropped PCB once I had removed the overlarge relay To check I had not damaged anything in the desoldering I reattched by test leads the original relay and it worked. Have checked the 2A relay on a 5v supply and it works fine.
  11. Hello Kev https://www.rapidonline.com/hongfa-hfd3-005-l1-pcb-signal-relay-5v-dc-single-latching-dpdt-2a-71-4726
  12. Running a rake of coaches through a carriage wash would soonm change the appearance of a loco
  13. Hello I purcahsed a bi-stable flip flop unit from China on ebay for not a lot for an intended projecty . It has a single 5 volt coil latching relay and each time the unit is triggered the relay contacts flip. Unfortunately the supplied relay is far too big being a 10amp model so I acquired a 2amp one. However that has a coikl with a resistance of 144 ohms whereas the 10amp one is 70 ohms. I have tried without success a resistor in parallel. Can anyone advise? Thanks Mike
  14. It's happened just now for the first time on my mobile. Had opened a number of pages and shut then down on turn to find the last was the alleged McAfee page
  15. The previous 04 was a tweak of the old Mainline 03 tooling. I discovered when detailing one the body grilles etc were misproportioned or positioned as I sought from photos to drill handrail holes in the right place. They did announce a run of the 04 using the DCC 03 chassis but those were never produced.
  16. If they have a glut of SR 8 planks and 6 wheel brake vans (and similar) the alternative would be to offer specific packs - those three in the £100 pack equate to £58.70, now I have seen the 8 planks on sale around £23.50 but even then getting the brake for £11.70 is a still a bit of bargain. Do wonder how much unwanted is going to appear one ebay shortly. An alternative approach would be to have a selection form where you could mark what you do not want in the mystery pack and dependning how many you tick off whether then you are only limited to the £100 one. If for example I could say no to any Lion, J70, 15xx or tramcar then I might be tempted.
  17. Mine has a Zimo in it which is pretty small. It's not a height issue, it's the internal width and the reason why just getting the body off is such a struggle initially. Must somehow be factory fitted with such force it fits tight and right but thereafter good luck in getting it to fit properly without taking a file to it.
  18. Yes that's why I raised it with them as other 94xx's have had etched plates supplied with them.
  19. All decoders gone now, wonder how many have them in their trunk @£14. Still stacks of R606 and R609 curves
  20. Also Freesat 953. Possibly will be on the BBC website as well.
  21. The Imperium are rebadged Lais decoders cheapened by the removal of the shrink-wrap and hiked in price
  22. The reported issue seems to be on dcc - mine hasn't been run much since decoder fitting it. It was run in on dc. Were the "test mules" laps on dc only? If some users have no problems on dcc then maybe details of what dcc systems are in use where failures have occurred should be sought. Some dcc systems can put out higher than normal voltages. That can be capped by using a different power supply or using a string of bi-directional diodes in one leg of the track connection so is it a case of handling upto x volts is okay but beyond that is where failures occur? Or are the dcc systems in question capable of puttiung out a current beyond that the springs can cope with in the event of a momentailly short before the dcc system trips?
  23. Given the Genesis coaches, P and Barclay all have pre-orders which will be fulfilled we are told then some off spring must be in the pipeline to exist after the closure.
  24. What you need to watch is length okay for your curves on those alternative couplings.
  25. Purchased the preserved 9466 model which I found has no etched number plates with it. Bachmann have confirmed that none are supplied.
