  1. Ask the Stoke Summit operators "where's the station, then?"
  2. Carefully consider the disparity between gauge and scale on a 00 layout and then GET OVER IT. Go home and re-space your sleepers if it still bothers you.
  3. Many thanks, I have followed the links with great interest and the information will be a great help if I get around to trying a panelled coach.
  4. I am quite happy to model in card when I can and am tempted to try rolling stock. What type of card and gauge can people recommed? I am thinking of 4mm panelled coaching stock.
  5. I must say "hoorah!" to the chap who suggested a 1900-1930 ship. I love the ship kit in the range, but it's just too moden. I suggest: 1.traditional tramp steamer of the "3 island" vaiety - these were very common and representative of the whole 1890-1950s peiod, so must satisfy most people; 2.Paddle steamer, of the sort used for Channel and excursion traffic - again the 1890-1950s period is appopriate. 20mm scale wargames ought to welcome these vessels too. I would also add my vote fo a Victorian Gas Works Thanks
