  1. A long time since I last had a chance to do anything on the layout. I have just finished a holiday, at home for a week. This enabled me to go to the London Festival of Railway Modelling at Alexandra Palace, my first model railway show for five years. I was there on the Sunday and was surprised at how quiet it was. That said, it was very easy for me to spend a lot of money! The main expense was purchasing the DCC Concepts Alpha Box and Power units to create two power districts on the layout, which I need. Once I had sorted out a gremlin in the wiring I was able to run a couple of trains on the layout, although track cleaning is needed, as well as relaying some of the track. Hopefully when I am back in the summer I will be able to complete more work on the layout, as well as a few more purchases on the control front! Mike

  10. I know what you mean about being away from the layout. I spend most of the year working abroad, so only have limited time at home with the layout and can't join a model railway club as there isn't one where i work. Mike
