Might have been mentioned before, but if you've ever wanted to model a prototypical yet eclectic railway system, Liberia has you covered. LAMCO alone operated vehicles built in/for the US, Britain, Germany, and Sweden for a wide range of loading gauges: Images borrowed from here: https://www.derbysulzers.com/liberia.html and https://www.derbysulzers.com/liberia2.html And these are just the ones I've found pictures of online. There were apparently quite a few other types from Sweden, and there appears to have been ALCo RS locomotives there at least during construction. Parts of the old LAMCO network seems to nowadays be operated by second hand Köf's (with some very nice home-built coaches), second hand Romanian diesels, and new-build GE ES44AC locos.

Severe weather? Okay? Not quite sure how milk tanks would be of any use in those circumstances. Could it be because delivery by truck would be too risky...?

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I've got to ask, otherwise I'll be scratching my head for all eternity. Milk tanks built for emergencies. Wh... What type of emergencies are we talking about?

I was a bit confused by what you meant with Berne rectangle, a phrase I don't think I've ever heard before, but I did manage to find a little bit of information on it. Are you saying the gangway... Bridge plate? Footplate? The bit you step on, is fixed in place and can't be folded up? That does seem a bit hazardous.

Shame to hear it was scrapped, would've made for an interesting museum exhibit. But, being built to continental gauge, how did it move around the country? Or did it simply stay stationary until it went to the GCR(N)?

While I am aware of the BREL International set being sold to Irish Rail after a few years in storage, I just stumbled across one coach which I've never seen before: The text on Flickr doesn't offer much information, only stating that this was the one and only coach of the set built to UIC 505 profile. Does anyone know what happened to this coach? Or simply have more info on it?

Feels like I can finally contribute to this thread. Take a look at this clip, 8 minutes in. Now, I can't recall seeing a DMU formation quite like this anywhere previously in the thread.

The 319 pictured is 4 cars long.

Simple fix for that problem: bookmark that post and show them.

And the reply that I got was that it is indeed peat in the nearest locomotives tender.

Picked up my 33117 yesterday. Very nice model, but I can't help but wonder why they chose such a short-lived appearance. There are however a few things that bug me. First of all, I wasn't expecting the buffer beam details to be glued in place from the factory. The lack of interchangeable head codes was a bit disappointing, as was the lack of a red tail light. Oh well, I guess you can't have everything.

Not only is the rear power car in MML livery, look at the cab door. Looks like FGW to me.

December 21st, 2019. King's Cross, London. I was fortunate enough to catch, amongst others, 91111 (along with a failed 91106) and 91101 for the first time. 82205 also showed up a little later in the evening, as did 91121, though I think I've caught that before.

Oh. Didn't realize there was one. My bad!

Well, seeing as nobody else has posted anything from King's Cross yesterday, why don't I? W43006 just after arriving from Leeds.

68010, the Oxford Flyer, at London Marylebone, September 29, 2019. Was a nice surprise to see it, as it escaped me last year.

91119 at King's Cross, Friday, 29 September 2019. Just stepped off a Great Northern service in Finsbury Park when I saw it pass towards London, and my mind just went "f*ck, f*ck, f*ck, F*CK! There's no way I'll make it there in time. But I'll give it a try!" Ran down to the Underground, just caught a Victoria line train after missing a Piccadilly line train by a matter of seconds, and then sprinted up to the main line station when I got off the train. All the time I thought for sure I'd miss it, but Lady Luck was on my side. Got some pictures, a nice chat with the driver, and a video of the train leaving. I was also informed that 91119 won't leave the fleet until next year, so if any of you haven't caught it yet, there's still time.
